Pirates Of Penzance Soundtrack Music Pirates Of Penzance Soundtrack Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Pirates is the best I have been in musical theater for 30 years, and of all the shows I have been in, Pirates of Penzance is the most FUN I have had. It is a show I have performed seven times, from high school to college to community to professional theater. Nothing like being a G&S "Pirate". Maybe not as much fun if you aren't a pirate, but we can't ALL be pirates. (I have been a pirate, a policaman, the Pirate King and The Sergeant of Police) Submitted by ptownsend (Scottsdale, AZ USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
A Good Rendition This is a good recording of this opera considering that it is down in a much more modern style. For those of you who are not opera fans this is a light enough version for any audience. There are even two songs included in this soundtrack which are not from the original opera. ("My Eyes Are Fully Open" and "Sorry Her Lot") While probable not proclaimed as a good soundtrack as "operas" go, this is highly enjoyable, funny and well recommended.
