Dark album for sale Product Description
Dark album for sale by Metal Church was released Oct 25, 1990 on the Elektra (Label) label. Metal Church's excellent debut had impressed critics and fans alike with its ferocious blend of classic metal and thrash. But by the time they released its follow-up, 1986's The Dark, the band seemed to be struggling with their direction and wrestling with internal problems. The fact that they were collectively one of the most unattractive bands ever (even by heavy metal standards) didn't help matters either, especially in image-conscious America, so it was no surprise when the band's appeal remained firmly confined to the metal underground. ...See Full Description

| Great Album It was so difficult for me to hear this disc complete until I find it on cduniverse. com. After hearing I was a little bit dissapointed beacuse I found like 3 filler songs and those are the last ones. By max_cantu (Monterrey, México) |

| Three And A Half, Please This is classic Metal Church, no getting around it, with some of their best tunes, like the breakneck "Ton of Bricks," the anthemic "Start The Fire," the epic "Watch the Children Pray" and the just-plain-nasty title track. By Fizz (Delmarva) |

Metal Church CD (1985) Top Seller
Dark album for sale Much like the English punk movement before it, the New Wave of British Heavy Metal invaded hundreds of American garages in the early '80s and launched countless bands across the nation. It is interesting to note, however, that while in major cities with thriving punk rock this phenomenon manifested itself in the form of thrash metal (for example, L.A.'s Metallica, New York's Anthrax), in secondary capitals, up-and-coming bands generally boasted a more mainstream metal approach. Such was the case with Phoenix's Armored Saint, Connecticut's Fates Warning, and Seattle's Queensryche, but ...

Accept Balls to the Wall CD (1984)
Dark CD music Digitally remastered by Joseph M. Palmaccio (Sony Music Studios, New York, New York).
With their 1984 release, the pleasantly titled BALLS TO THE WALL, German metallists Accept set their sights on the last frontier the band had yet to conquer--America. Like their contemporaries the Scorpions, who also specialized in hard rock and hailed from Germany, Accept started out as a straight up heavy metal band, but as the '80s wore on, softened their high volume sound with a dose of melody.
While BALLS TO THE WALL introduced Accept to whole new legion of fans stateside, it wasn't the huge US ...

Testament New Order CD (1988) Top Seller
Dark buy CD music Not only did Testament not suffer from the infamous sophomore slump on its second album, The New Order, but the band delivered its best offering ever. Order is every bit as brutally forceful as The Legacy, but the songs are even more memorable. Testament's outlook was still far from cheerful. Taking no prisoners either musically or lyrically, the headbangers embrace morbid gothic themes on such bombastic treasures as "Trial by Fire," "Disciples of the Watch," and "Into the Pit." And Testament's cover of Aerosmith's "Nobody's Fault" is one of the band's finest accomplishments. For those purchasing their first ...

Exodus Fabulous Disaster CD (1989)
Dark songs After years struggling for recognition while watching their peers achieve fame and fortune, Bay Area mainstays Exodus had every reason to be dejected when they re-grouped in 1989 to record their third album Fabulous Disaster. Still, they went on to create their most diverse and carefully conceived effort yet, while remaining faithful to their no-frills thrash ethic. But while the album represented the realization of their vision, as well as their commercial peak, it still failed to gain them their well-deserved place alongside such thrash metal giants as Metallica, Anthrax and Slayer. After a random spoken word intro, ...

Blessing in Disguise CD (1989) Top Seller
Dark CD music Perhaps the finest Metal Church release, Blessing in Disguise offers some of the best material in the group's long career. New vocalist Mike Howe joined up with the band for the recording of this 1989 Elektra release, replacing the departed David Wayne and bringing a burst of energy that the group used to create some of the best American underground metal of the decade. Metal producer extraordinaire Terry Date (White Zombie, Def Tones) dials up some fiery guitar and drum sounds adding an awesome sonic element to the group's fine arrangements and ultra-heavy riffing. Standout cuts include the massive and cathartic "Anthem to the Estranged" and "The Spell that Can't be Broken." Both cuts (as well as the rest of this release) feature excellent guitar work and an uncompromising allegiance to all things heavy that Metal Church continually gained respect for throughout the Seattle band's career. ~ Vincent Jeffries
