||ONE OF METALLICA'S BEST|
I really enjoy this recording. I think the remakes they do here are great. It is not easy to take a classic like Turn The Page & put that Metallica touch on it & keep the Seger sound still intact. I also really like Whisky In The Jar, Sabbra Cadabbra & Tuesdays Gone. A great effort from one of the masters of heavy metal.

||Hail to the kings(AGAIN)|
For those of you who thought metallica sold out. Yes they did. They sold out out stadiums world wide when hair spray, gimics and lip gloss owned the metal industry for those of us old enough to have lived through that period. Where are the Ratts and the Whitesnakes now????? Metallica is simply GOD and always will be regardless of what they put out. Dont confuse growth and experimentation with selling out. They can still get on stage or in the garage and show you why theyre still considered to be one of the greatest bands ever formed. BUy this and blast this.

Metallica's Garage Inc. displays their awesome power of dynanimity, that is, the ability to change from one side of music, one tempo, to another completely different one. The Four Horsemen retain their savage heaviness with every song, from Nick Cave's "Loverman" to Bob Seger's all-too popish "Turn the Page," and in turn recreate these lyrics into bona fide Metallica syntheses. As they put it, Metallica are paying homage to who/what made them the heaviest band on the planet. Five stars out of Five for the band's first ever garage retrospective.

||still great, but not the best at covers|
i've enjoyed this album through and through, and i've always wanted to see who metallica will cover next. its so cool to check the curve that metallica throws, the only time that a cover from them that went bad was when they hit on the ramones' covers (all of them). that doesn't affect this album but coming from a complete catalogue of covers from a band, anthrax has come out flawless (even thier cover of ramones)!
