Reach For The Sky album for sale Product Description
Reach For The Sky album for sale by Ratt was released Oct 01, 1993 on the Atlantic label. .1988 was an important year for hard rock and heavy metal music. While pop/glam metal was still ruling the charts, such up and comers as Guns N' Roses and Metallica were introducing a more stripped down and in-your-face approach to the rock world, and racking up huge sales. Undeterred by trends, Ratt stuck to its guns on its fourth release, REACH FOR THE SKY, which showed that the group was perfectly content to stick with the spandex and pop metal that made its first three releases such a success. Reach For The Sky CD music contains a single disc with 10 songs. ...See Full Description

They were showing signs of wear, though . . . . I don't need to add to the existing comments about the songs. I remember rumors and mentions through 1987 and into early 1988 that a double-live album showcasing their 1983 - 1986 output was forthcoming. And then nothing. What happened? This album might have stood up better as a musical transition marker; still, it rocks. By Gerard (California USA)
The First Signs Of Ratt Decline Yep, this was the record that foreshadowed the total sellout album Detonator that would follow. While this is better than Detonator in keeping more to the Ratt sound and production (although just barely), it still is far from the quality of their first four releases. The good thing is I can listen to it over and over and it doesn't get too repetitious as Detonator does. Vocals on here are ruined in the production mix and turn Stephen into just another singer or an afterthought. I still like many of the songs on here, but unfortunately Ratt were never meant to go with a bluesy sound or into whining love songs territory (which would get even worse on the next one). If you want to hear the REAL Ratt buy Ratt EP through Dancing Undercover. By Sean (South,NJ)
Ratt n Roll Forever Excellent album from Ratt, one of the most underated metal acts of the 80's. Great guitar work and every song is a winner.Buy it! By Hellbilly (Thuringowa, Australia)

goin strong I'm a huge RATT fan and own every cd that they have . It may be one step behind the previous but still an awesome peice of work along with Detonator .They fell off the edge in the late 90's with COLLAGE and to which wasnt the origanal lineup. By shubbard (Bedford, IN, USA)
