RATT N' ROLL 8191 includes one previously-unreleased track, "Nobody Rides For Free."
With the success of such L.A. pop metal bands as Quiet Riot and Motley Crue in the early 1980s, record labels went back to this musical 'hotbed' and signed a second wave of California rockers. Ratt became one of the most popular of the bunch. The band's pop metal revealed an affinity for party hearty, shout-along anthems, but Ratt focused more on its pop side (something Bon Jovi would explore as well). The nineteen track compilation, RATT N ROLL 8191, contains all the Ratt favorites you could wish for, such as "Round and Round," "You Think You're Tough," "Back for More," "Lay it Down," and "Way Cool Jr." If you were to own a single Ratt album, RATT N ROLL 8191 would be your best bet.
All tracks have been digitally remastered.

metal memories okay, so it's not heavy enough but there are plenty of hooks to shame every pop metal band. dance, body talk lay it down, wanted man, way cool jr. and more span this 19 track set. pearcy, blotzer and the rest of the gang rocked better and i take this set over any emo crap any day. don't forget that nobody rides for free is on the soundtrack to point break. | | D'Amphibians Water Tight CD (2007)
Ratt N' Roll 8191 music CDs
$13.15 D'Amphibians have been jamming in and near San Francisco over 11 years, getting better and tighter with time. People enjoy their live shows so much because they are not contrived, not too loud or busy, and the hot girls just seem to come out of the wood work to move it to the tight rhythmic sway, creating a magnet on the dance floor. The crowds emerge exhausted and satisfied and amazed at how tight, melodic, percussive, and passionate the music is. Steve Moore the bass player/singer writes most of the music and is the son of successful songwriter Daniel Moore (Shambala, My Maria, Sweet Forgiveness/Bonnie Raitt, many others), and features melody and taste in a prominent bottom end throughout each song. Chris Rossbach the lead guitarist has played with many famous musicians out of San Francisco and New Orleans, notably Zigaboo Modeliste of the Meters, and has been known to play Jerry Garcia-style lead guitar cleaner than Jerry Garcia. A master of tone, Chris will lead audiences from clean to crunchy settings and back, evoking many influences from Jerry to Knopfler to Jeff Beck but indeed has a psychedelic style all his own. Steven Younger co-lead-sings and weaves a classic Hammond B3 sound through the rhythmic fabric, hitting the tremolo for the high crescendo, and drummer Greg Thomas and percussionist Ben Nitzan are ...
