Digitally remastered by Howie Weinberg (August 1991, Masterdisk, New York, New York).
Chic's greatest hits album holds up a lot better than most artifacts of the disco era, a fact that can be attributed, largely, to splendid musicianship; the instrumental core of the group--guitarist Nile Rogers, bassist Bernard Edwards, and drummer Tony Thompson--was as telepathically tight as predecessors like Booker T. and the MGs and perhaps even a bit more inventive. As a result, the group's seamless combination of irresistible rhythmic grooves and catchy pop hooks--heard here to best advantage on such period anthems as "Le Freak" and (especially) "Good Times"--still sounds fresh.

Recorded at Electric Ladyland Studios and The Power Station, New York, New York. Includes liner notes by Jean-Charles Costa.

 You can keep dance, dance, dance all over agine!
One of the best groups from the 70! Chic brings out the best dace music including Dance,Dance, Dance, Good Times and I Want Your Love. But, Freak Out is the best song! So, If you like Music from the 70's and Old School, Chic is one of them!

The Ultimate Collection!!!
Chic's time in the spotlight only lasted a few years, but within that time, gave us phenomenal dance music for the discos. It was also during that time of the Disco era, that longer dance mixes, commonly knows as the "12-inch single," of the 3- to 4-minute radio hits were being produced so people would spend more time dancing on the dance floor. Well, in this collection of Chic's hits, you get ALL the "12-inch single" dance versions of the hits we know and love so well. Have fun!!

Although Will Martin is an accomplished trombonist, he refuses to stereotype himself as one. “I’m not caught up in the whole ‘Trombone Thing’ – the latest licks, the latest gear,” he explains. “Communicating with an audience is what we jazz musicians need to be thinking about, not playing to practice chord changes. So I don’t think of this as a ‘Trombone Record.’ It’s a jazz record that happens to be led by a trombonist.”East Coast- trained, now living in Seattle, Martin’s style melds jazz, salsa, classical and rock, with his jazz playing influenced by such masters as the Stan Kenton trombone sections, Carl Fontana, Kai Winding, Kent Larson, J. J. Johnson, Stan Getz and Joe Pass.
