It will always be a mystery how a grown man can spend his life wearing a school tie and short pants and receive adulation from the heavy metal fraternity. HM followers do not tolerate a cissy, yet the hugely talented Angus Young has become something of a hero. His riff-laden fills, combined with the tough vocals of the late Bon Scott, made AC/DC one of the genre's all-time leading lights. Bordering on the lighter side of metal, songs such as 'Love Hungry Man', 'Touch Too Much' and the title track will always delight.
All tracks have been digitally remastered.

AC / DC Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap CD (1976) Top Seller
Big Hits and Nasty Cuts: The Best of Twisted Sister buy CD music This is a Hyper CD, which contains regular audio tracks and also provides a link to the artist's website with the help of a web browser.
Recorded in 1976. Originally released as Atlantic (16033). Includes liner notes by David Wild.
Although it wasn't released stateside until '81, DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP is an Australian compilation recorded in the mid-70's. By the time of its U.S. release, singer Bon Scott had already died of alcohol poisoning and the band had emerged from the tragedy with new singer Brian Johnson and the stunning BACK IN BLACK. This album then, perhaps inadvertently, serves as an epitaph for the late, tattoo-emblazoned singer. And there is no more fitting eulogy than the title track, which captures Scott in all his raunchy glory.
Full of ill will, Scott snakes his way through a nasty tale of revenge. He's only too happy to provide TNT, concrete, cyanide, whatever it takes really, to get the job done. As he snarls, growls, and finally squeals, "high voltage!" Scott is immortalized in complete reptilian glee. Though the title tracks alone makes the album essential; there are other significant merits. The utterly tasteless hilarity of "Big Balls" is a not-so-subtle pun Beavis and Butthead would undoubtedly have worshipped. "Ride On" is a toned down blouse groove that is complete out of step with AC/DC's usual onslaught. All in all, DIRTY DEEDS is a fine collection that shows these Australian bad boys doing what they do best.
All tracks have been digitally remastered.

Def Leppard Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection CDs (2005) Top Seller
Big Hits and Nasty Cuts: The Best of Twisted Sister album for sale In the mid-1980s, there were few hard-rock bands as popular as Sheffield, England's Def Leppard. Influenced by the glam rock of Queen, Slade, and the Sweet, the quartet reveled in the style's high-energy elements, while trading the outlandish imagery for a no-frills, denim-clad look that made them even more accessible to the masses. With 1983's PYROMANIA and its delayed follow-up punch, 1987's HYSTERIA, Def Leppard became an international phenomenon, unleashing hit after hit, including the riff-heavy, shout-along singles "Rock of Ages," "Pour Some Sugar on Me," and "Armageddon It."
This collection presents every song on the previously released VAULT: GREATEST HITS 1980-1995, along with an entire second disc of additional album tracks, including the AC/DC-like "High 'N' Dry (Saturday Night)" and HYSTERIA's anthemic ode to "Women." Throughout the decades, the group endured its share of upheavals and tragedies--drummer Rick Allen lost an arm in a 1985 accident and guitarist Steve Clark died in 1991--but they continued recording into the 21st century (see the 2002 track "Now"), revealing a determination that most of their peers lacked. For fans of '80s hard rock, this 35-track compilation is essential.

Poison Poison's Greatest Hits 1986-1996 CD (1996) Top Seller
Big Hits and Nasty Cuts: The Best of Twisted Sister CD music Recorded between 1986 & 1999. Includes liner notes by Bret Michaels.
Poison's Greatest Hits 1986-1996 is as definitive as a Poison compilation could hope to be. Featuring a full 18 tracks, including all of their Top 50 hits ("Talk Dirty to Me," "I Want Action," "Nothin' but a Good Time," "Fallen Angel," "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Your Mama Don't Dance," "Unskinny Bop," "Something to Belive In," "Stand," among others) plus two unreleased cuts ("Sexual Thing," "Lay Your Body Down"), the album boasts every worthwhile song the group ever recorded, augmented by Bret Michaels' track-by-track commentary. Though the album isn't sequenced in chronological order, it plays like an excellent mixtape, which actually makes the album more listenable. Even on a compilation, Poison wears a little thin -- there are still dull moments among these 18 songs, mainly in the form of lesser-known album tracks and singles -- but still, Greatest Hits 1986-1996 is the most enteraining album the band ever released. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Dokken Very Best of Dokken CD (1999) Top Seller
Big Hits and Nasty Cuts: The Best of Twisted Sister buy CD music Digitally remastered by Dan Hersch and Bill Inglot (Digiprep).
While Dokken is considered a heavy metal band by many, the band was one of the most melodic hard rock bands of the 1980s, which 1999's THE VERY BEST OF proves. The 16-track compilation focuses mainly on the band's '80s peak, although two selections are from the '90s--one from Don Dokken's 1990 solo album UP FROM THE ASHES ("Mirror Mirror") and one from Dokken's 1995 reunion album, DYSFUNCTIONAL ("Too High to Fly").
Nearly all of the selections prove to be the among the best of the whole '80s pop metal genre--rockers such as "Just Got Lucky," "The Hunter," "In My Dreams," "Burning Like a Flame," and "Heaven Sent," as well as their breakthrough power ballad, "Alone Again." THE VERY BEST OF is a fine overview of Dokken's best moments.

Warrant Best of Warrant CD (1996)
Big Hits and Nasty Cuts: The Best of Twisted Sister songs The Best of Warrant collects all of the band's singles for Columbia, plus album tracks mostly culled from Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich and Cherry Pie. Since Warrant was primarily a singles band whose albums were often cluttered with unmemorable filler, this is the most consistent single disc in their catalog, even with the pointless remake of Queen's "We Will Rock You," and it's the most entertaining way to hear some of pop-metal's best singles, like "Down Boys" and "Sometimes She Cries." A case could be made for more material from Cherry Pie, which was more consistent than its predecessor, but The Best of Warrant is all that anyone but the devoted will need. ~ Steve Huey
Includes liner notes by Gerri Miller.
