1 star Steve Hackett also was a member of Genesis
Steve helped keep Genesis progressive after Peter Gabriel left and without him, the band went to crap. It would be like expecting Pink Floyd do well without Roger Waters and David Gilmour. Yes Peter Gabriel did maybe 1 or 2 pop(SO and US) albums to make money but never on the scale this once great band did. Steve Hackett still kept the progressive sound in his band and still has a steady fan base for over 28 years. Sadly what Phil did was create the illusion that Phil Collins and Genesis were the same thing. This is the worse so called "greatest hits" cd. Steve Hackett released a cd far better called "Genesis Revisited" on this cd, you had raw talent doing the real Genesis songs. Not some overproduced, overplayed garbage that should have never been considered a Genesis effort. Many Genesis fan including myself were not happy with the creation of the substandard material. They only cheated themselves out of their own talent and fan base they spent 11 years making. Mike, Tony and Phil went off the deep end big time never to be compared with Steve Hackett and Peter Gabriel.
