Break-up record of the decade When I first heard this CD, it was eerily sad to me, but beautiful and strangely familiar. Not realizing how my life would mimic hers, down to the drummer love of her life. By Paloma (Los Angeles, Ca.)
Great album! Sinead always masters everything she does, & on this cd she sounds better than ever. It was well worth the long wait for this one. By Watchingthesky (Indiana, USA)
boring If you've listened to Sinead's "Universal Mother" - the very best what Sinead has done until now - this album is simply b o r i n g ! By a reviewer (Rhens, Germany)
WONDERFUL!!! I just can't stop listening to this CD! This is her best album so far, and one of the very best albums released so far in this millennium. By a reviewer (Orust, Sweden)
| mindblowing!!! This album is spectacular!! The best I have heard in years!!! Sinead and various producers mix a number of diverse musical styles like Irish folk, trip-hop, ambient, regea, etc to magnificent results! Standout tracks include the heart breaking Jealous and hold back the night, upbeat punk ditty Daddy I'm Fine, Dancing Lessons (with Wyclef Jean) which is garanteed to make you smile, the atmospheric almost spiritual Healing Room, and many others. Radiohead Bends CD (1995)
Faith and Courage buy CD music On only their second outing Oxford's Radiohead fulfilled their huge potential, fashioning an album whose relentlessly downbeat tone was offset by an ability to formulate consistently winning melodies. The title track and "Just" throw some customary rock poses, but for the most part the band displayed a far more expansive approach. Thom Yorke emerged from the woodwork with a new-found vocal confidence, revealing a striking falsetto on two of the album's strongest tracks, "Fake Plastic Trees" and "High & Dry." The last three songs build inexorably to the stunning emotional climax of "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" with a control and poise that showcased the band's new maturity.

U2 All That You Can't Leave Behind CD (2000)
Faith and Courage CD music "Beautiful Day" won the 2001 Grammy Awards for Record Of The Year, for Song Of The Year and for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
ALL THAT YOU CAN'T LEAVE BEHIND won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. "Walk On" won the 2002 Grammy Award for Record Of The Year. "Elevation" won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of" won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal.
Seldom has an album title been as appropriate as ALL THAT YOU CAN'T LEAVE BEHIND. Here, U2 returns to its pre-irony '80s glory days with a straightforward rock approach, leaving behind the electronics and intentional mock-decadence of POP and ZOOROPA. It quickly becomes clear however, that the band had to make those albums in order to get to the ego-free state from which this one emerges. While Larry Mullen's driving beat, Adam Clayton's insistently throbbing bass, the Edge's chiming guitar, and Bono's soulful vocals mesh as in the days of yore, there's a less messianic feel to the proceedings that must have resulted from the group's ego-deflating '90s endeavors.
While POP and ZOOROPA were the sound of four guys having fun, on this album U2 manages to combine unpretentious joy with the open-hearted rock power of its early recordings. From the spiritual warmth of "Grace" to the soul leanings of "In a Little While," the band regains the organic quality that had been missing from its music of the previous decade. What sounds like an unusually hands-off approach on the part of producers Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois can only mean that they were smart enough not to fix what was clearly not broken.
Lyricist: Bono .
Personnel: The Edge (vocals, guitar, strings, piano, synthesizer, background vocals); Bono (vocals, guitar, synthesizer); Daniel Lanois (guitar, background vocals); Paul Barrett (brass); Brian Eno (synthesizer, programming, background vocals); Larry Mullen, Jr. (drums, percussion).

I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got CD (1990) Top Seller
Faith and Courage album for sale This is the impassioned, creative breakthrough Sinead O'Connor was working toward with her extraordinary debut THE LION AND THE COBRA. Boldly combining O'Connor's hard-rock, alternative-rock, hip-hop and Celtic-folk influences, I DO NOT WANT WHAT I HAVEN'T GOT was widely heralded as one of the best albums of 1990. On it O'Connor proves herself a first-rate writer, articulate, perceptive and penetrating. Her vocal magic is well under control, from tempestuous command to all-out fury; she shows that she is a world-class singer, way beyond the restrictions of being an alternative-rock diva.
The obvious highlight among highlights is O'Connor's definitive rendition of Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U" (originally performed by The Family). Other remarkable songs here include "Black Boys On Mopeds," a political treatise on Britian's racial affairs, and "The Emperor's New Clothes," a pop-funk number in which O'Connor provides some anecdotal background for her seemingly strange behavior. There is not one disappointing track on this album.

Lion and the Cobra CD (1987)
Faith and Courage CD music Though Sinead O'Connor's THE LION AND THE COBRA did not have the market impact of her follow-up I DO NOT WANT WHAT I HAVEN'T GOT, and lacks that album's polish and sense of assurance, the Irish spitfire's debut is still arguably her finest recording. There is an edge here that dazzles, and the dark atmosphere of the album--its unsettling tension, Celtic flavors, and dynamic contrasts--is completely seductive.
Most of the tracks are characterized by a sound that is at once minimal, intimate, expansive, and contemporary. O'Connor's vocals seem fully formed here, and her trills, swoops, sharp turns, and snarls are let loose on "Troy," "Jerusalem," and "Just Like You Said It Would Be." The brighter rock song "Mandinka" and the dance-flavored "I Want Your (Hands on Me)" were radio hits, they help vary the set while blending seamlessly with the moody cast of the record. This was one of the most impressive debuts of the late-'80s, and though O'Connor's volatile public persona would eventually undermine her career, the power and passion of THE LION AND THE COBRA still hold up today.

Lou Reed Ecstasy CD (2000)
Faith and Courage buy CD music Lou Reed's first album of the 2000 decade is one of the strongest efforts of his solo career--an unflinching, plain-spoken meditation on jealousy, lust, and the general state of affairs between men and women. ECSTASY sounds like vintage Lou. The bass, drums and guitar are there, but the songs are unfailingly catchy, stylistically varied (the title song is a bossa nova) and more harmonically sophisticated than usual. The extra instrumental touches around the edges--'60s soul horns on "Tatters," Laurie Anderson's electric violin on "Mad"--register with maximum impact. Velvet Underground fans will be delighted to hear that the album's centerpiece, "Like a Possum," is an 18-minute, two-chord fuzz guitar work out; it's probably the most extreme thing Reed's recorded since the original "Sister Ray" on WHITE LIGHT/WHITE HEAT. A triumph.
Surprising 2000 album for the former Velvet Underground frontman features an appearance from Laurie Anderson. 14 tracks. Reprise.
