The debut album from these California skate punks taps into the usual new-millennium worries: teenage alienation, misunderstood intentions, a quest for the perfect high. It's not very original and pretty short on ideas overall. The best song, "Heaven Is a Halfpipe," lifts its hip-hop/ska style and motivation from Sublime, which should give you a reference point on this jugheaded effort. ~ Michael Gallucci
Some good elements can be found on this OPM release, but the majority has the air of generic white hip-hop, not rough and scruffy enough to catch the attention the way, say, the Beastie Boys manage to do. Proof positive that the ability to say "f*ck" several dozen times in a song does not indicate anything of interest. ~ Steven E. McDonald
