When I first purchased this music in vinyl years ago I immediately became a fan. This is my 2nd CD purchas since I wore the album and the 1st CD totally out. Over the years I have purchase everything that he has recorded, I still think that this CD is his best. "We Got By", "Susan's Song", "Spirit", and "You Don't See Me" are classics. Totally worth a listen or two, or three.

This music still creates a great atmosphere and the beauty of Jarreau's voice and interpretive style is readily appparent without the hyper-expressive, vocal-percussive affects that cahracterized his later music.
"Susan" and "We Got By" are particularly moving and atmospheric. In all, Really terrific!

This is the very first album by Al Jarreau,it has one of my favorite songs "We Got By".I recommend buying this CD now, while it is still in print.
