With steel guitars, fiddles and lots of acoustic guitars, this low-key folk-rock album harks back to Young's great AFTER THE GOLD RUSH-HARVEST period, and if it doesn't measure up that's only because of the ridiculously high standards the earlier albums set. Neil's Tender Peak
Many seem only to recognize Neil Young for his grungy rocking and bluesy melancholy as a lost young man or a startled poet amongst dopers, but Comes a Time shows Neil as a musician setting an example that we badly need.
