What can be said but a classic! One of the first (vinal) albums I wore out and had to replace! There is no greater energy than Highway Star!

||Deep Purple’s best studio album.|
“Highway Star” has the best beginning of all songs I’ve ever heard and it has a magnificent guitar and keyboard solos. “Lazy” is a perfect instrumental mix of classical, jazz and blues music. Personally, “Pictures Of Home” is one of my favourites and “Smoke On The Water”…no comment! In my opinion “Machine Head” is one of the best hard rock albums from the 70’s.

||Deep Purple "Just as I remembered them"|
I'm rebuilding my teen years music collection these days. Deep Purple was one of the major influences on me growing up in Hawaii. I surfed with their music in my head and skateboarded in a half pipe with them blaring out of an over head speaker. Listening to their music brings it all back! Jim
