Then Play On album by Fleetwood Mac was released Oct 25, 1990 on the Reprise label. There were 2 different versions of this LP, each with slightly different tracks. Then Play On songs The CD contains all tracks from both versions. Led by singer-guitarist Peter Green, the first version of Fleetwood Mac was one of England's premier bands and possibly the greatest white blues band ever to emerge from the '60s blues revival.1969's THEN PLAY ON is their best album and Green's pinnacle achievement. Heavily influenced by Otis Rush, Green had an unusually lyrical style for a blues musician, able to draw on flamenco, folk, even classical guitar--all of which make an appearance in the ambitious instrumental coda to his major opus, "Oh Well." Despite the inclusion of superior modern blues songs like "Rattlesnake Shake" and "Show-Biz Blues," THEN PLAY ON is notable for its instrumentals. The Best Album Ever
Every song is great on this album,Why they haven,t Remastered this one.And while there at it Kiln House as well. That would be great.

Why not remastered
This is an absolute classic. It is a crying shame that it has never been remastered. The tracklisting for the currently available CD, which sounds terribly bad, is the US version. On the original UK release "Oh Well" was not included, however "One Sunny Day" and "Without You" were included. Running order is also different. Remastered, with original running order plus as bonus tracks "Oh Well" and possibly "The Green Manalishi" this would be a definite 5 star cd.

Blue Mac
Not too many others than boomers or affcionados know the early F-Mac. There is some really talented guitar and innovative music in the early works. This is a classic to "Play On".

Greenbaum's Masterpiece
Indisputably brilliant! I've been through three vinyl copies in nearly thirty years of listening. The CD quality is somewhat disappointing. Hopefully WB or someone else will issue a remastered original UK version. An immense, emotional and heart breaking recording. Sorry Eric, but Greeny was the real deal and this was his classic. One can only ponder where he would taken this band next.
