hearing this music takes me back to the good old days in the 80s. it's two thumbs up for me.

 A Credit to the 80's Pop Genre
Naysayers and lead-eared nincompoops would argue that the 80's produced some of the worst pop trash in history, and that it only got progressively worse thru the Nineties and into the Millennium. I would only half-agree with that argument, because of my fortunate exposure to catchy, hooky, witty, well-written synth-pop like this. CUPID might indeed be the Best Pop Album Never Heard by the Slaves of the "Mainstream." I found it hard to get this platter off of my turntable the first time I bought it. The CD with my Walkman is no different. I dare you to listen to "Wood Beez" and sit completely still. I guarantee you the rest of the cuts are just as good. Personal favorites in addition to "Beez": "Lover To Fall," "Hypnotize" and especially "The Word Girl" and its dub-driven twin "Flesh and Blood."

 Best synth-pop ever
Scritt Politti scale the heights of the sublime with this sonically varied, ironic, witty, and often sad album. The synclaver never sounded so good. And how is it people keep making lame pop records after this gem?
