If you're only going to get one Madonna record, or if you want to find out what the fuss is about, start here. THE IMMACULATE COLLECTION compiles the cream of Madonna's '80s singles, from the dancefloor innocence of "Holiday" to the soul-searching pop of "Live To Tell" and "Like A Prayer" to the forward-looking, beat-crazy stylings of "Vogue." Included are a few singles, "Vogue" among them, that didn't make it onto any of Madonna's proper studio albums, and a couple of cuts exclusive to the collection, most notably the weird, Lenny Kravitz-produced "Justify My Love."
Though there are a few ballads, the vibe is dance-pop, and to that end most of THE IMMACULATE COLLECTION was remixed by Shep Pettibone, Madonna's producer of choice at the time. Most of the mixes are true to the original singles, just buffed up a bit, while "Like A Prayer" gets a kind of Latin disco overhaul. For a summation of '80s pop, you can hardly do better. Seven of these songs hit numbr one and 13 of them made the top ten. And still Madonna was able to leave off several major hits, a measure of how picky she could afford to be. IMMACULATE indeed.

madonnas early years were her best years. from "Holiday" to "Vogue" and all the goodies in between. ENOUGH SAID-Madonnas "Imaculate Collection" need not say-MUST HAVE!!!!

It's Madonna Nuff Said
What can you say about Madonna that hasn't already. She is probably the most prolific female artist of all time. With a beautiful voice, and a look that changes as often as the cloud patterns, you have to belive the landscape of popular music would not be what it is today without her. This album, her first hits collection, proves her contribution. From the radio friendly "Borderline", to the sexed up "Justify My Love" Madonna shows that she is the standard, and you have to rise to meet her if you want to succeed in the music biz. The Immaculate Collection is one of the best single disk hits collections ever released, and if you don't own it shame on you. Long live the Queen!!!!!!

What can I say about this compilation album - trully the best! It includes Madonna's best hits of the 80's plus 2 new songs - sexy Justify My Love and amazing Rescue Me. The only onbe song which should have added - Who's That Girl.

Well first of all I dont think Madonna is very good but I have to admit this cd was pretty good. It has all of her good and only hits on this. So in other words, I think it's her best collection album.
