Anthology album for sale Product Description
Anthology album for sale by Ambrosia was released May 20, 1997 on the Warner Bros. label. For various legal reasons, no Ambrosia recordings were released on compact disc in America until 1997's Anthology, and while it's an imperfect collection, it does offer a reasonably thorough overview of the group's career. It only briefly touches on their early art rock records, choosing to concentrate instead on their early-'80s soft rock hits like "Biggest Part of Me," "You're the Only Woman," and "How Much I Feel." As a result, dedicated prog rock fans will find this collection inadequate, but for most casual listeners, it will contain everything they need and then some, since the disc is padded with three new songs that are pleasant. Anthology CD music contains a single disc with 16 songs. ...See Full Description

Little River Band Greatest Hits CD (1982) Top Seller
Anthology album for sale Recorded between 1975 & 1982. Includes liner notes by Simon Glickman.
Digitally remastered using 24-bit technology by Evren Goknar (Capitol Mastering).
With 11 hit songs breaking the Top 40, Australia's Little River Band was one of the most successful groups to emerge from down under. With the perfect sound via Glenn Shorrock's relaxed voice alongside the smooth flow of the guitar and keyboard work, LRB's polished style was draped all over radio throughout the late '70s and early '80s. This compilation from their most lucrative years contains all their chart hits, plus the sneaky-sounding "Down on the Border." Blending rock elegance with catchy, full-flavored harmonies, each of the songs on this album contains an element of gracious musical craft, whether it's a romantic ballad like "Lady" or an up-tempo rock song like "The Night Owls." The quirky verses of "Lonesome Loser" come out colorful and sleek, and the horns in "Reminiscing" emphasize the swagger and swoop of its debonair sound. Shorrock's voice can be fully appreciated on the beautiful "Cool Change," one of music's prettiest slow songs. As a compilation, this album truly is a "greatest hits." ~ Mike DeGagne

Pablo Cruise 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Pablo Cruise CD (2001)
Anthology songs Two of Pablo Cruise's charting singles -- "Never Had a Love," which went to 87 in 1978 and "Slip Away," which peaked at 75 in 1981 -- are missing from their edition of Universal's 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection series. That means their remaining seven hits -- including all their biggest, like "Whatcha Gonna Do?," "Love Will Find a Way," "Cool Love," "I Want You Tonight," and "Don't Want to Live Without It" -- are here, along with five album selections. So, it may be possible to quibble that this isn't really definitive, solely on the basis of those missing hits, but for many listeners, this is as close to definitive as they need, since it really does contain Pablo Cruise's windswept, sun-mellowed blend of melodic Californian soft rock and lite jazz fusion. This music may recall the times -- that netherworld of the late Carter administration and pre-Reagan assassination attempt -- but its best moments (those aforementioned singles) are soft classics of the era, and this is one of the best ways to hear them. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Includes liner notes by Sal Nunziato.
