THE HEART OF CHICAGO 1967-1997 is a collection of Chicago's hits with two new tracks, "Here In My Heart" and "The Only One."
The title of this retrospective speaks for itself. Here are the romantic classics from the group whose pioneering mix of rock, smooth harmonies and distinctive horn arrangements has become as familiar as butter and toast. The songs, ranging from 1970's "Make Me Smile" to 1988's "Look Away," are not arranged chronologically, which makes for interesting juxtapositions, such as the one between 1971's lightly funky "Beginnings," with its classic "whoa, whoa, whoa" chorus, and 1982's irresistibly sentimental "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" ("After all that we've been through/I will make it up to you/I promise to"). Thirteen of the 15 songs on THE HEART OF CHICAGO have been digitally remastered, and all provide an opportunity to revisit some of the best offerings from one of history's most successful bands.

Heart Of Chicago 1967-1997 songs
$9.39 The initial release from reknown English smooth pop purveyors; contains "Just When You're Having Fun" and "More Than Willing." 1988, Dutch import.
There was no reason why Cock Robin shouldn't have been as big as anyone else around at the time. This collection showed a band that was bright, bubbly, and buoyant. "Thought You Were on My Side" oozed all the charm of a band in the studio for the first time. But it was the moody -- and, to a degree, menacing -- "When Your Heart Is Weak" that delivered their only hit Stateside. Certainly, things were not what they seemed. Under the chic shine of Steve Hillage's production lay a group led by intellectual Peter Kingsbery (just read the sleeve notes: "This, our first album, is ...

Sirens will soon sing to you of death; yet hold on--somewhere downwind gentle Calypso walks her beach and sings of immortal life. So prepare yourself, for you are about to take the timeless journey that bears this wanderer's name--The Odyssey.Message from the ArtistIn Greece, circa 700 B.C., very few people knew how to read.
