On her third album, simply titled Faith, Faith Hill put all her chips on a big pop crossover move, picking songs by Diane Warren and Sheryl Crow to sing and giving the entire album a sleek, glossy finish that makes it as comfortable on adult comptemporary radio as it would be on country radio. This may not be country in its sound but it is in its sentiment, as it celebrates love -- there are no heartbreak songs here, just love songs -- hope and optimism, where "The Secret of Life" is a good cup of coffee, mom's apple pie and a beautiful woman: all things that make it comfortable, mature pop. Unlike Shania Twain, Hill never goes for big, outsized gestures -- there's no glamour or glitz here, nor is there much humor, as there is on The Woman in Me and Come on Over -- she goes for cozy and comforting, and while that can make Faith a little bit too warm and fuzzy (and despite its sheen, it does feel warm) for some tastes, it nevertheless is an expert middle of the road pop album, one that goes down easy, one that blends into the background yet is melodic and endearing enough to be listened to closely, and that's due to Hill's strong voice and open personality. Faith knew to dazzle us by offering this album to us which is, in my opinion, one of best in the world of the modern country. Moreover, its songs are radiant, completely irresistible. And it is not finished, because to listen to only one song of this album to us guaranteed that the remainder is still better. Good music with Faith Hill!!!

Faith has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard. "Let Me Let Go" and "Just to Hear You Say That You Love Me" are two of my favourite songs ever! Her & Tim are not only a great romantic couple, but a wonderful musical couple. She puts emotion into her music that simply cannot be reproduced. Faith Hill, along with Shania Twain and Martina McBride, got me listening to country music. And Faith is the best!

Faith Hill is the best singer of country music I have ever heard. I just started listening to it this year. Her song "me" on her album Faith is the best song and it gave me faith in myself and I have sang it tons of times in hometown shows and everyone can relate to it. I love you Faith!

Thea Wray was born in the UK to Jamaican parents and was raised and educated in Jamaica and the USA. Thea holds degrees from the University of the West Indies and Auburn University in Alabama. However her first love is music, having started piano lessons when she was 3 ½. She continued her musical training in Jamaica with a number of tutors and became a Licentiate in Pianoforte Performance from Trinity College London in 1977. As a youngster and then an adult she was involved in the music ministry at her church, Bethel Baptist in Kingston, Jamaica, led by Reverend Burchell Taylor playing both the piano and organ. During this time she also worked as a keyboardist in several theatrical productions; she started singing commercial advertisements in the mid eighties and started to offer her musical services for private functions. She decided to enter the world of music full time in 1997 after having divided her time between her musical career, her studies and work in the areas of Agriculture, Banking, Travel and Property management. She relocated to the North Coast of Jamaica to work on the hotel entertainment circuit. Thea worked as a cocktail pianist and sing-a-long pianist as well as vocalist/pianist in a jazz trio setting at hotels such as Sandals Dunns River, Ciboney and Round Hill Hotels.Thea returned to the UK in early 2000 with her family to further what she thought was her Jazz music career and made appearances at a few private functions during this time. Although a baptised Christian since 1974 she felt the call of the Lord to use her talents to spread His Gospel through her music since returning to the UK. So convicted, she has been a committed and active member of the Rye Lane Chapel led by Pastor Frank Goveia in Peckham since July 2000. where she is part of the Praise and Worship team. She also ministers in music at the Harrow Green Weslyan Holiness Church in Leytonestone led by Pastor E Parris. Thea has started to teach Christian songs to Key stage one and Key stage two children in her area,by invitation, on a weekly basis and sees this as a vital part of her ministry.Thea holds a certificate in Jazz and Pop Studies from Goldsmith College, in London which has supported her on her musical journey. She released a vocal instructional compact disc entitled 'Support the Sound' which is being distributed by Black Women in the Arts based in Hackney. She is presently working on a booklet to supplement the cd which will be published in October 2003. In 2002,Thea wrote and produced a contemporary Christmas Cantata entitled 'A Dream Come True' which was staged at the Rye Lane Chapel in Peckham in December 2002. As an intuitive performer she is also involved in storytelling where she adds a musical dimension to European, Caribbean and African tales.Thea calls herself one of 'God's Singers' and released an extended play compact disc entitled Water II Wine Praise I. This paved the way for her debut full length gospel album 'NOBOUNDARIESNOBORDERSNOLIMITS on her own label Water II Wine Praise in March 2003.
