(1 Customer Review)
Fast, cheap, and out of control. This is gutbucket thrash for the most jaded of teenaged parking lot dwellers. After just a few minutes of throbbing power chords and Wayne Static's drunken sailor bellowing you may be ready to end it all, yet there is an undeniable hook to the chunky gloom this band pours out. If that's how you feel, this could be right up your dead-end alley. ~ Tim Sheridan

| | Chimaira Impossibility Of Reason CD (2003)
Wisconsin Death Trip CD music
$14.25 On Chimaira's second full-length album, THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF REASON, the Midwestern nu-metal outfit charges out of the gate with an electrifying mix of brutally direct Sabbath-esque guitars, the scariest death metal howls this side of Morbid Angel, and double-kick-drum patterns so fast and clean they make Slipknot's drummer sound like the guy who played on "Louie Louie." Unlike many of its similarly hard-edged contemporaries, Chimaira features the added novelty of a full-time member who is credited with "lead electronics." Not simply a DJ, knob-twister Chris Spicuzza ...
| | Korn Greatest Hits Vol. 1 CD (2004)
Wisconsin Death Trip music CDs
$9.59 GREATEST HITS VOL. 1 is a 17-track primer for Korn, a key force behind the "nu metal" tsunami that swept through pop music in the mid-to-late 1990s. Led by frontman (and former coroner's assistant) Jonathan Davis, these California natives weave low-tuned guitars, hip-hop-fueled bass lines, and bleak imagery into memorable songs like the bile-fueled stomp-fest "Right Now," goth-tinged "Alone I Break," and frenetically raw "Freak on a Leash."
Davis's struggle with family dysfunction is a consistent theme, from the band's self-titled 1994 debut (a foreboding "Clown"), right up through 2003's TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRROR (an uber-heavy "Did My Time"). Korn also keeps pace with peers Marilyn Manson and Limp Bizkit (who both recorded unlikely ...
| | Mudvayne Lost And Found CD (2005)
Wisconsin Death Trip songs
$8.99 Drummer Matt McDonough and bassist Ryan Martinie play as if they are the same person, tossing off impossibly complex lock-step riffs ("Determined," "Just") like most bands hit an open E chord. On "Happy?" and "Fall into Sleep," singer Chad Gray moves from a throat-shredding rasp to sweet melodicism at the drop of a hat, taking angst-filled lyrics to new heights of dark obsession. Luckily, despite the inherent negativity of Gray's words, the ...
