| My Favorite DS Album
The intro to "Telegraph Road" harkens back to THRESHOLD-era Moody Blues and "Private Investigations" is almost a preview of Pink Floyd's "Sorrow." I was amazed at the care put into this album.

A replacement for a cassette copy that I had, I have always loved this album, with Telegraph Road being the best track.

| Another essential album from DS.
IMHO, this is the second best Dire Straits album [by a hair] after Making Movies. I believe that these two albums actually form a couplet as Love Over Gold is a perfect follow up to Making Movies with it's mind blowing atmospherics, thought provoking lyrics and fantastic music arrangements, playing and sound.

I grew up listening to the classic rock / 80s my Dad listened to (I'm 31). So I've listened to Love Over Gold hundreds of times since I was 5 years old.
