| | Late To Bloom CD (2007)
French Military Marches songs
$8.55 From the upstate of South Carolina, Greenville area rock band Late To Bloom has been writing, recording, and performing its own unique blend of rock and roll for over a decade. Inspired from childhood by the rock super groups of the 60's, 70's and 80's such as The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Eagles, Pink Floyd, Boston, Foreigner, Journey, and U2, the band members actually came of age during the heyday of Heavy Metal. It was the mid to late 80's when the screaming guitars, thundering drums, and bombastic behavior of groups like Motley Crue, Van Halen, Guns and Roses, Metallica, Dokken, Queensryche, Tesla, and Iron Maiden stimulated then 12 year old brothers Jeff and Jamey Bailey to beseech Santa for an electric guitar and drum set, respectively. Not long after, their paths would cross with fellow metal head and future vocalist virtuoso Shane Lasseter. A flurry of band names and line ups would follow. By the early 90's the trio were embracing not only the emerging grunge and alternative rock scenes, but the singer/songwriter genres of James Taylor, Van Morrison, Elton John, Simon and Garfunkel, Bread, Billy Joel, Dan Fogleberg, and Bob Segar, who penned many of the big radio staples the boys cherished from their youth. They even opened themselves up to new wonders such as Hip Hop, Jazz, Country, and Electronica. An eclectic mix of influences began to shape the styles of the songwriters that would define Late To Bloom. The millennium ushered in a new era for Late To Bloom. After a brief hiatus the songwriting team decided to put the band back together to record and perform new material. With Jamey keeping time on the drums, Jeff maintaining the lead guitar, and Shane relieving himself of rhythm guitar duties to concentrate on being a full-time front man, the trio recruited long-time friend Lance Lister as a secondary guitarist. Lance was equally comfortable picking the light acoustic ballads or trading licks with Jeff on the fire and brimstone rockers. In April of 2005 tragedy struck with the untimely death of bassist and good friend Chris Clayton. And after an arduous search for a replacement the new group found one right under their noses in Jeff's and Jamey's younger brother Ben Davis. Beginning his tenure as a novice, Ben quickly picked up on the refined bass lines previously written, and eventually began to express his own ideas and personality as an ever seasoned player. The new-fangled, highly motivated Late To Bloom burst onto the local scene in the spring of 2005 spending the year feeling out the live experience and fine tuning the new songs before spending seven months in the studio recording a 12 track self-titled CD.The Late To Bloom sound and style can transcend genres, but easily blends into most pop and rock radio formats. From heavy anthem-like rockers 'Who's Proud' and 'Uh-Huh' that would fit easily on latter day Motley Crue or Tesla albums, to the haunting ballad ...
| | Ragamuffins of Love Featuring Eff Dupp Wise Up! CD (2007)
French Military Marches album
$9.35 THERE IS VERY LITTLE TRUTH TO THE RUMOR THAT SANDY MCKNIGHT IS EFF DUPP.The Ragamuffins of Love are a young group of musicians who want nothing more than to make music, create havoc and tell bad jokes to each other. They often laugh and frolic till all hours of the night. They usually sleep late, sometimes skipping breakfast in order to drive a round their small town and look for girls. Then they play their favorite bands' cds way too loud before getting dressed and heading to the club to play. Effington Dupp (his friends call him 'eff') started the group when he got laid off at the hat factory, and met his new friends Amadou Schbag, Kaye Seurat and Saul Goode. They've been together for 2 years now, and today all seems ...
