 A Moment in R&R History
I bought this record after recently seeing Bill Kirshen do what only he can do with a old Fender and an older trombone. The Amarillo HQ show captured in 1973 features an extraordinary band at it's peak. Featured performers included Andy Stein on fiddle, lately with the Guy's Shoe Band on Prairie Home Companion, and Bobby Black on steel. It's rockabilly, dieselbilly,country swing, pure stomping R&R (Riot in Cellblock #9 ends the show)all in one wrapper. One of the best live discs ever. Compares favorably to the standard in the genre- Joe Ely's Live Shots.

 a great old album
I had this album on lp so I just had to get it again on cd. It's one of my favorites. I have several other album by Commander Cody but I think this one is the best. If you really want to get a party going start playing this album. Just real good ol beer drinking music. If you can't have fun listening to this album you just can't have fun. It's a great one.

 Play it loud.
This cd is great. I enjoy the up beat music. You can dance and sing to this cd. It's great.

 Greatest Concert Ever - I was there.
This was an event I will remember for the rest of my life. The now famous "Asleep at the Wheel" started of the concert with the Armadillo Stomp. We had to bring our own lawn chairs and weed of course... Peter K. former Austin, TX Resident..(Now 62 yrs)
