(1 Customer Review)
This is the 1987 follow-up to Steve Earle & The Dukes' debut, GUITAR TOWN. Like its predecessor, EXIT O mixes toughness with tang, grit with passion, and social consciousness with rowdy fun. The Dukes were the perfect compliment to Earle's songs, as they were able to roar as well as weep. "The Rain Came Down" is a mid-tempo ballad that's suffused with the gorgeous wash of Ken Moore's organ playing on the choruses. The ensemble can also convincingly tackle a roadhouse rocker like "The Week of Living Dangerously" with guts and aplomb. The "woo-woo" vocals are a surprise out of the blue, and their contrast to the relentless of the surrounding playing can induce chills. Throughout, the sound is vivid and crystalline. Earle's vocals buzz through and around it all like crazy and elegant embroidery on an old blanket.

EL CORAZON was nominated for a 1999 Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album.
Steve Earle was a country-rock renegade when Uncle Tupelo were still in short pants and NO DEPRESSION was an inscription on a Prozac bottle. EL CORAZON stands as a milestone in the long, checkered career of an artist who's been to hell and back without losing an ounce of his songwriting talent. ...

$9.79 "I defend The Hard Way to the death, because I almost died in the process of making it," Steve Earle told a reporter in 2000, and he wasn't just being melodramatic. Earle's well-documented addiction to heroin and cocaine was spiraling out of control in 1990 while he was holed up in Memphis recording The Hard Way. And while his 1988 album Copperhead Road showed him moving away from country and more toward hard rock -- and earned him a minor crossover hit in the process -- his record label was hoping for a major commercial breakthrough so that his sales might begin to match his good press. The resulting album is a bit of a mess, often sloppy ...

$6.65 THE 2 FLY CREW was formed in Summer 2007 by founding members SLIM MUSIC & YOUNG NEEK. The two met a clothing store where they were both employed. Having similar interests, one of them being music, caused them to naturally bond with each other. After attempts to make a mark in the industry individually, the two decided to test the waters and work together on a track. The result was "THROW IT UP", a YOUNG SEPH-produced club banger which was destined for radio ...
