Live Dates album for sale Product Description
Live Dates album for sale by Wishbone Ash was released Mar 10, 1992 on the MCA label. This concert album by the long-running British institution is, overall, its best early work, featuring as it does most of the best songs from its first few albums in vastly better sounding versions. This is, clearly, the place to marvel at the band's innovative melange of blues, folk, Yes- style riffs, and endearingly cosmic lyrics, not to mention its centerpiece--the tag team dueling guitars of Andy Powell and Ted Turner. Live Dates CD music is a 2-disc set with 12 songs. ...See Full Description

| Great Blues! I remembered only the name of the band. Couldn't remember ANY of the music as I was only 16 at the time. I only remembered they really cooked! I took a chance and WOW! What a GREAT double Blues CD! They put you, somewhat, in mind of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young but really kick in more w/the blues riffs on leads, etc... BUY THIS!!! You can't go wrong! | Great Music I first heard this album in Germany in 1974. It was great then and now. Rock N Roll Widow is a classic. Great guitar, songs, etc. By a reviewer (Montgomery, AL) |
| A Very Good Effort Having seen them at the Astoria (albeit not the CD line-up), I expected this to be a strong live album and I was right. Like the concert I was at this is not exactly exciting but strong and reliable, with a couple of outstanding tracks. It helps that the drums are big but I feel that the twin- guitars could've been cranked up louder than they were. Highlights include 'Blowin Free', 'Jailbait', 'Warrior' & the epic 'Phoenix'. This CD is a good place to start for any newcomers to the band. By S J (Woking) |
| Nostalgia I purchased the vinyl in the 70s when I was in high school. I loved the song "Blowin' Free" So as a 40+ old hipster, I decided to add it to my CD collection. Though the guitar rifts are a little dated along with the lyrics, it is a good trip down memory lane. For all those who remember groovin' to "Jailbait" and "Blowin' Free" this is a must-have for your collection. I probably won't listen to it daily, but when in the mood for some nostalgia.
