Fox songs Product Information
Fox album for sale by Elton John was released Feb 02, 2010 on the MCA (USA) label. Like David Bowie, Elton John made himself over in the 1980s from his over-the-top glam-rocker image to one that was less theatrical, more refined, even slick. Fox CD music The music was affected as well, as the '80s saw Elton flirting with disco, new wave, and several lyricists. He also flirted with danger, dropping some of the more obvious trappings of the Me Decade (the big glasses, for example) but remaining perilously close to its hedonistic excesses. Fox CD music contains a single disc with 10 songs. ...See Full Description

||You either like it or you don't.....but I really enjoy it!|
The songs on this album, you really need to have to have an appreciation for Elton's musical talent, not necessarily focusing on his lack of apparent skill in the 80s. My personal favorites on this album are the songs Carla/Etude and Elton's Song. Carla/Etude is an instrumental piece by Elton John, with a simple, but elegent melody, accented with a full orchastrated sound. Elton's Song, with lyrics written by out-of-the-closet artist Tom Robinson, is a beautiful song. It can be interpreted as either a homosexual or heterosexual relationship, so it really isn't a song people should turn against just because it was written by two gay artists (John and Robinson). I played this song for my wife when she and I got married, and i am a male. Elton has said that this is one of his favorite songs. Overall this is an album many people overlook, because it was during one of Elton's "off-periods", and also because you can only get it as an Import disc. Really, this is a disc well worth the effort. Also, because this is an import, it won't be around too much longer. And none of these songs can be found on MP3 download sites, so the only way to get them is by getting this album!

||Top Of My List|
This is one of my very favorite EJ CDs. I bought the tape and the album back in the 80s.I listened to the tape so much, it wore out. I am so glad that I now have the CD. If you are a big Elton fan, you should really like this CD. I have all of Elton's music.This one is definitely on the top of my list.

||This 1981 gem is like the lost elton john album.|
There are not hits only few terrific moments.Whant to here them,then don't be afraid to click the buy button above.This album was originally by Geffen Records but when elton left the record company in 1986 after the failing "Leather Jackets" it went out of print as well as the rest of his 1980s albums but thankfully they have since been aquired by MCA Records and are now avaliable in small quantitys.
This nice and pleasant album has the charming and plainfully beautiful "Eltons Song" as well as the worthwhile instrumental "Carla Etude-Fanfare".Also it contains "Nobody Wins" the somewhat worthwhile single off the album."Just Like Belguim" and the opener "Breaking Down Barriers" chck in as the rockers."Heart in the right place" is the low point here, musically."The Fox" ,"Chloe" and "Heels of the wind" all aproach listenablilty and are somewhat worth listening to.Especally the pleasant "Chloe" .This is a return back to the old elton and some of bernies best song writing in the early 80s.Good,Good stuff.

||Underated Elton Classic|
The Fox is one of Elton's best albums and his best effort of the 80's. Too bad it was overlooked upon its release in 1981. This album is packed with some strong upbeat rockers and in general very melodic sophisticated pop. The lyrics on this album are also very good -- a bit more biting, playful, sincere, and cohesive than most Elton John albums post his 70's heyday. Tracks that are especially worth a listen are the melodic and infectous "Breaking Down Barriers," the bluesy ascerbic rocker "Heart in the Right Place," the atmospheric rocker(featuring Elton on some of his best piano work)"Facist Faces," and the introspective and moving title track "The Fox." I highly reccomend this album. A true overlooked Elton John gem.
