Walsh's catalog by this point was two albums strong and of a consistently high quality. Despite a change of staff for So What -- a wide range of musicians are used, including the Eagles' Don Henley -- the sound is very similar to previous releases. A number of classic Joe Walsh tracks are featured including a more polished version of "Turn to Stone", originally featured on Walsh's debut album Barnstorm in a somewhat more riotous style. "Help Me Thru The Night", Joe Walsh's mellowest song to date, is helped along by some fine lead and backing vocals from the band. So What sees Joe Walsh in top gear as a guitarist. Most of the nine tracks feature solos of unquestionable quality in his usual rock style. The classic rock genre that the man so well defined with his earlier albums is present here throughout, and it is pulled off with the usual unparalleled Joe Walsh ability. ~ Ben Davies So What Music | List Price | $9.95 (You save $3.40) | | Category | Rock Albums, Rock/Pop CDs, Hard Rock | | Label | MCA | | Orig Year | 1975 | | All Time Sales Rank | 2207 | | CD Universe Part number | 1103599 | | Catalog number | 10761 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Mar 02, 1993 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo | | Producer | Bill Szymcyzk; Joe Walsh; John Stronach; Bill Szymcyzk | | Recording Time | 35 minutes | | Personnel | Russ Kunkel - drums Joe Walsh - vocals, guitars, synthesizers Joe Vitale - flute, keyboards, drums Randy Meisner - vocals, background vocals J.D. So What Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) That's what! A great rock album that you will never get tired of hearing...
while the album is loaded with great, classic songs, with great lyrics from start to finish...the production quality and sound is what also separates it from other rock albums of the same era.
When you listen to this album along with every other Joe Walsh album/CD, you wonder why Joe doesn't tour more...
all of Joe Walsh's music has stood the test of time, has a unique sound and lends itself across a wide rock audience.
"So What" is the benchmark album that will forever define Joe Walsh as an American Rock Icon...
enjoy!

This is the real (Best of Joe) Forget wasting your time and money on the various best of Joe Walsh CD's.
This little gem is a powerhouse rock album with real guts. Joe makes his guitar scream on, (Turn to Stone), and (County Fair). This is a great rock album, it's one of those rare CD's where you want to listen to every song over and over, and you'll never hit the skip song button. If by chance this CD is packaged as a double two for one set along with, (The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get) grab two copies, one for yourself, and one as a gift. Joe rocks on both records, and these were some of the first studio sessions that he had the chance to perform with Don Henley and Glenn Frey before joining the EAGLES. This is a must have CD! The original soundtrack to Mel Gibson's Scottish adventure Braveheart contained all the key music from the film, but the movie and the music became such a huge hit that the release of More Music from Braveheart became almost inevitable. Comprised of leftovers from the movie's score, traditional bagpipe music and sections of dialogue from the film, More Music from Braveheart offers some slim pickings as far as content is concerned, ...
