A really good movie with an interesting soundtrack. I would strongly suggest you see the movie before buying the soundtrack. Once you see it - the soundtrack is a must. I personally had only ever heard of Urge Overkill, Al Green, Kool & The Gang and well - okay the Statler brothers. I am a fan of dark music (dark ambient, industrial, trip hop, goth and dark rock) but still these songs and tracks really move me. I can't tell you how strong the surf guitar is in this movie. The Revels and especially the Centurians tracks really stand out and are perfect in the context of the movie. Strangely enough, the Statler brothers song grows on you - even though I hate to admit it. As far as Urge Overkill's "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon", all I can say is masterpiece. (It sounds better than when Neil Diamond originally recorded it!) Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" is a timeless classic that everyone can enjoy and Kool & The Gang's "Jungle Boogie" is so over the top and wild that you have to love it! It is hard to describe but once you see the movie and listen to the soundtrack you feel like 10% more "cool" than you did before. Strange - but try it - you will see what I mean!
