"All My Life" was nominated for a 1999 Grammy for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal and Best R&B Song.
While this dynamic, Jodeci-originated R&B duo have made their reputation as kings of sensual, even erotic, R&B, leaving no doubt as to the main topic on their collective mind, LOVE ALWAYS finds them pulling back the hedonistic reins a bit. The approach here is much more subtle, and at the same time, more romantic. In sharp contrast to their hardcore days of yore, there's an almost spiritual quality that comes through here, and the music is the richer for it. Naturally, the Hailey Brothers still possess the same authoritative vocal style that made them such an R&B sensation in the first place. Think of LOVE ALWAYS then as not a retreat from their previous work, but a refinement.

For any hardcore R&B fan this album was a godsend. At a time where musical trends were making the move into more uptempo tracks, K-Ci & JoJo dropped an absolutely increadible album, filled with the smoothest ballads you will hear from the 90's. Among the tracks, of course, was the number 1 hit "All My Life", a truly memorable and catchy ballad. However, the amazing songs don't stop there; "Last Night's Letter", "How Many Times" (written by Babyface), "Just For Your Love", "Love Ballad" and "How Could You" all give the same feeling of romance to the listener. The few uptempo tracks the album does provide are so smoothed out that you barely remember you are listening to a funky track. No matter what they are singing, K-Ci & JoJo's voices are smooth and consistant and the album flows from each song to the next like butter, making the whole album a delight to listen to.
