Buddy Holly album for sale Product Description
Buddy Holly album for sale by Buddy Holly was released Jan 16, 1989 on the MCA label. This 1958 release is one of the first indisputably great rock albums. Holly's range here still impresses; he's equally fluent with rockabilly (or at least, his own highly original take on it, as witness "Rave On" and "I'm Gonna Love You, Too"), R&B (a cover of Little Richard's "Ready Teddy" that has, as they used to say, the real gone spirit), and even a sort of riff-driven folk rock ("Words of Love") that presages power pop. | Buddy Holly lives on through compilations like this Another terrific compilation of Buddy Holly's music. This selection includes all the big hits and all the other tracks which should have been big hits. This CD is an opportunity to listen to the man who is arguably the one of the most talented "fathers" of Rock'n'Roll. He writes the songs, plays lead and/or rhytm guitar, sings lead, arranges and co-produces all his own music, the first of the Rock era to do so. By bootfam (Perth Western Australia) |

| From The Original LP. I was pleased to find this Buddy Holly compilation. The tracks have not been remastered and they are presented exactly as they they came out. I am not a great fan of remastering everything. There is too much out there right now that is not original. Thankfully, this CD compilation is.
