Club Durante songs
$5.55 This is a DTS CD, which features DTS 5.1 Surround Sound technology and is playable on a DTS-capable 5.1 Surround Sound system.
Vince Gill does Sinatra? Well, sort of. His second holiday collection, BREATH OF HEAVEN is a collaboration with Ol' Blue Eyes' former arranger Patrick Williams, and Gill describes it as his chance to "be like Nat King Cole or Sinatra, and snap my fingers and drink martinis." Replace "martinis" with "eggnog" and you've got an apt description of what is surely one of the most original ...
| | Camel Harbour Of Tears CD (1996) England
Club Durante album
$19.55 Strap yourself in for another dire journey with Camel. This time it's the Irish immigration to America, a fitting travel companion for Dust and Dreams or Nude. The Celtic overtones are largely dispensed with by the second track, and what emerges is a finely conceived concept album filled with rich, saturated arrangements and guitar leads that cut through the surrounding music like a beacon. More so than Dust and Dreams, Harbour of Tears feels like it was intended for the stage. The instrumentals are oftentimes simple bridges to the next phase of storytelling; the music is streamlined (even with strings and winds) to advance a linear progression in the listener's mind. If some of this seems familiar, remember that Camel have been likely to retrace the occasional familiar footprint during 20 years of traveling (e.g., "Eyes of Ireland" has been heard before). During the interim, Andrew Latimer has become a remarkable conjurer of conjoined sound and imagery; the way in which he uses different sounds to suggest scenes and action is imagistic music in the best sense of the word. The rest of the cast is equally accomplished, drawing on the estimable skills of Mae McKenna, Mickey Simmonds, lyricist Susan Hoover, and others to create a full-bodied ...

Club Durante music CDs
$13.85 Ume Sour is the second album by husband and wife team Rob Christiansen (Eggs, Grenadine, Viva Satellite!) and Jeannine Durfee. Taking its title from a popular Japanese drink made from plums, Ume Sour is a collection of recordings made in their livingroom while living in Japan. Christiansen continues in the quarky style of his former band Eggs. The songs on Ume Sour, however, are more polished than those of Eggs or ...
| | Embrace Out Of Nothing CD (2005)
Club Durante songs
$9.09 Heirs to the Britpop crown fashioned by Oasis and the Verve, Embrace play large scale, immediately accessible, hook-drenched rock designed to make engulf listeners in waves of feel-good melody. OUT OF NOTHING, the band's fourth album, refines the elements prominent on earlier releases, and boasts euphorically expansive production and a batch of well crafted songs tailor-made for the charts. A case in point is the album's first single "Gravity" (co-written by Coldplay's Chris Martin), a lush number packed with emotional passion and a swelling, open-the-floodgates chorus. It is little wonder that the album debuted at number one in the U.K in 2004.
Released Stateside in 2005, OUT OF NOTHING, ...
