Sunset Ride album for sale Product Description
Sunset Ride album for sale by Zephyr was released Oct 24, 2000 on the One Way label. There are two kinds of Zephyr fans; those who think the band died when Tommy Bolin left, and those who know it didn't. This second and final album for Warner featured Boulder, CO, guitar slinger Jock Bartley in place of Tommy Bolin, the replacement of Bobby Berge and John Faris, and one of the few known recorded appearances of Bobby Notkoff, other than his work with Neil Young, for whom he created the heart-wrenching violin break on "Running Dry." Without Bolin, the band took a decided turn toward jazz. Sunset Ride CD music contains a single disc with 10 songs. ...See Full Description

| Lost Treasure If you like incredible music that got little to no air play and represents its era like few others, this is it. Psychedelic blues at its finest. I am a fan and collector of 70's rock with over 700 albums going back to the mid 60's. This is my favorite album. End of story. By JL (Lakeland. FL) |
| I THINK I have loved the music on this album for years To fianlly find it on C.D. is like manna from heaven or somthing like that. What a great band this was.Everyone went nuts over Tommy Bolin but they did their best work (like James Gang,& Deep Purple) before he joined the band.Sunset Ride is by far the most groove oriented work from the band and showes a side of the Colarado music sceen during that peorid that was mostly ignored by the mainstream. | What a great find I have gone through at least 2 vinyl copies of this album and have looked on various web sites for a CD version for a long time. I had thought that this album would never make it to CD and was very happy to finally locate it. Zephyr is a great band and this album is the best work they did together. There is not one weak song on the album and it is great to hear this band. My only regret was that I never saw them live when they were touring in the 70's. The guitar work is tight and the vocals are knock out. Of all the works that Zephyr put out this is the one to get. A 5 star work if ever there is one! By a reviewer (Oswego, NY) |
| classic It is ashame that this band didn't get more playtime. Since several members have passed on, it is great cduniverse has what it takes to still make these classics available By shaegler (St. Louis, Mo) This review is for a different format. |
