(3 Customer Reviews)
Aussie edition of the soul artist's 1993 collection. 14 tracks including his smash 80's hits, 'Rock Me Tonight' & 'You Are My Lady'.
During his five-album stay at Capitol, Freddie Jackson repeatedly showed himself to be a soul man of unusual merit. Ranging from outstanding to decent, all five of his Capitol albums are worth owning. But if a listener is allotted only one Jackson CD, The Greatest Hits of Freddie Jackson is the logical choice. From "Rock Me Tonight," "Nice & Slow," and "Tasty Love" to "I Could Use a Little Love (Right Now)" and "Jam Tonight," all of the essential Jackson material is included. The CD does a fine job of summarizing Jackson's accomplishments at Capitol and proves that his extremely devoted following is well deserved. ~ Alex Henderson
Producers: Gene McFadden, Barry J. Eastmond, Paul Laurence.

Good Collection... Pretty good collection of all his back-in-the-day hits. Favorites: I Could Use A Little Love, Hey Lover, Love Is Just A Touch Away, and Have You Ever Loved Somebody. I remember there was a time in which all of these were on the radio constantly. However like so many 80's artist, Freddie just didn't make it too far into the 90's. This is a collection of true classics.

Greatest Hits Of Freddie Jackson album
$6.85 This female trio, first heard on labelmate Subway's album GOOD TIMES, was discovered by Michael Bivins of New Edition (and founder of Biv 10 Records). He's labeled these teens the next Supremes. They combine hip-pop beats and a trendy attitude.
"Steelo," the first single from NO DOUBT, brought the group sudden popularity, and it isn't the only gem on NO DOUBT. Heavy on production, the album features "Round & Round," which samples The Notorious B.I.G.'s ...
| | LSG Levert Sweat Gill CD (1997)
Greatest Hits Of Freddie Jackson CD music
$10.79 Having had staggering success in the R&B world on their own, Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill united their prodigious talents on LEVERT-SWEAT-GILL. Levert has a proven track record, both as a solo artist and with his group Levert. Keith Sweat has made his mark both as a performer and as a producer. Johnny Gill first found stardom at 16 with the legendary New Edition, parlaying that group's success into a stellar solo career.
At home on either side of the mixing desk, they were able to take complete control of the project, as performers, producers and as writers. This is not to say they didn't enlist ...
| | Mary J Blige My Life CD (1994)
Greatest Hits Of Freddie Jackson music CDs
$10.45 MY LIFE was nominated for a 1996 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album.
The immediate success of her triple-platinum debut WHAT'S THE 411? put Mary J. Blige in a singular class as a soul-hop visionary, and opened the door for other hip-hop-influenced R&B acts. Yet as the follow-up approached, the nature of her talent began to be questioned, and the strength of her debut became an obstacle.
If Blige heard all those rumors, she must've decided that musical revenge is the best payback of all. Thus, MY LIFE comes across as another ground-breaking venture, linking R&B's new and old schools, filling the airwaves with delightful harmonies AND hip-hop samples. When Blige connects with her music's ...
| | Mary J Blige Share My World CD (1997)
Greatest Hits Of Freddie Jackson songs
$11.99 SHARE MY WORLD was nominated for a 1988 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album.
Uber-producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis come aboard for this hip-hop diva's third album, but they don't take over the way they do with more impressionable singers. SHARE MY WORLD remains very much Mary J. Blige's album, featuring 17 tracks worth of the same bumpin' soul that has made her one of the premier singers of the '90s. Blige earned the title "queen of hip-hop soul" with her amazing blend of hip-hop beats and R&B vocals on her debut album, WHAT'S THE 411?, and then followed up with the equally strong MY LIFE, which showed off a more personal side. On SHARE MY WORLD, she invites you to share a world of ...
