A rock opera like none other. Two disks of great Pink Floyd songs, that tell a story in a beautiful, artistic way. The creativity on this alblum is masterful.

||Great, but not Dark Side|
Excelent album, however it is not quite as good as Dark Side of the Moon.

||What generation of remaster is this?|
Can anyway advise if this is a recent remastering, or the 1994 version.
By D. Martin (Mt. Martha, Australia.)
I've listened to this album a lot of times and it real is a great rock opera and it should be in the top 10 best albums of all time.

||This "is" the Wizard of Oz!!!|
Everyone says this album goes along great with "The WIZARD OF OZ", but, in my own opinion, this "is" the Wazard of Oz! You can create your own world with this album all of the way through! It has almost all of their big hits: "Comfortably Numb", Another Brick In the Wall", "Run Like Hell", "Young Lust", "Mother", "Hey You" and many, many more!!! I still think that their final 2 albums 1987's "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" and 1994's "The Division Bell" are their best albums mainly because they fused together their old sound with the rock/alternative genres of the 80's and 90's!!! There's always room for the Floyd... no matter what kind of musical genre you're into! Pink Floyd is a part of rock, rap, country, jazz, alternative, metal... it doesn't matter!!! The Floyd is a part of that... "EVERYTHING"! This is a prime example!

||Alice in Wonderland|
This CD is great - not as good as Wish you were Here and DsotM. But still spectacular. And watch Alice in Wonderland while playing The Wall (you have to skip comfortably numb) and it's amazing the choreography. Better than Wizard of Oz and DsotM.

By TOOLBAND (Carolina,USA)

I recently started to listen to Pink Floyd and I was hooked to this album right away! What can I say... It's just... perfect. Both creative and entertaining. Truly one of the best of all-time. Well worth your money.

||One of the best things ever made.|
I was not one of the original listners on Pink Floyd. However after my friend introduced them to me I cant seem to get them out of my head. Pink Floyd is utter genuis! And that means something, I am 17, I have grown into my teen years listning to Artists and Bands suc as AFI and 50 Cent and I cant definitly say this music comes from the soul. Five Stars!
By Matt Davies (Vancouver, BC, Canada)
||This is not about greatest moment in German history!|
I was expecting document about tearing down the hated Berlin Wall and Reunification! Instead, it's droning guitars and something about a spoilt rock star's hang-ups! Don't be fooled by the title!
By Fritz Schnitzelesser (Berlin, Dumbkopfhs!)
||This CD Sucks!|
If Pink Floyd would have stuck with Alan Parsons as their producer/engineer they would of been able to keep my attention. The only track that's worth listening to is "Comfortably Numb" The rest of the cd plainly sucks. It was given to me as a xmas gift when it first came out. Glad I didn't actually buy the stinking thing. I rest my case.

||Pink Floyd headlines late 70's rock|
This double album from Pink Floyd doesn't beat "Dark Side" as their best studio effort, but it comes pretty close. Honestly, this cd is a little depressing to listen to back-to-back, but it is brilliant in spots, such as "Run Like Hell", "Comfortably Numb" and what has become a well-known rock anthem "Another Brick In The Wall Part II"
By Matt (Montreal, QC, Canada)
||The best double album in music History? You betcha!!|
Where to start! I'm not gonna spend hours writing a detailed review of what is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the greatest rock n roll double LP ever. End of story. Cameron, England.

||The Wall ROCKS|
When I was much younger my father would play his "The Wall" records and I used to love it so much, a year or so back I decided to buy the cds for him (along with DSOTM) and I pretty much took "The Wall" it is my all time favorite album ever, I can listen to it 24/7. I suggest it to anyone. oh and to all you stupid people... THE WALL IS STILL BETTER THAN DARK SIDE OF THE MOON GET OVER IT! DSOFM is great but nothing can beat "THE WALL"
By Archie Hannibal (Rich-Bitch, USA)
I grew up listening to Pink Floyd, and i can say that of all the albums made this is by far one of the best! i mean for someone to write songs about what everyone has witnessed or went through themselves is great. It just gives you more reason to want to buy the album! it's the only type of " opera " i will listen to and watch. from David Gilmour's voice " sexing up" YOUNG LUST, to the disco beat of ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL PART 4 and the haunting sound of DON'T LEAVE ME NOW. this is a great album that if you don't have in your Pink Floyd collection you MUST BUY!
By jlwhitedove (Iowa,USA)
tHERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ALBUM AS GREAT AS THIS. iT WAS A WORK OF ART. wAS A PRIVILEGE TO BE ABLE TO HELP ON IT. THANKS AGAIN, STAN fARBER.
By STANF236 (fLAGLER bEACH fL.)
Hands down the best album ever recorded in any genre. Nuff said.
By big_red0913 (Owosso, MI, USA)
this album is a masterpiece! i've been hearing this for years and this always reminds me of my own childhood. it's a very confusing and dark story that never seems to drag on. the lyrics are really good and really set the scene. it is mandatory to listen to the entire thing. faves are "mother", "another brick in the wall (part 2)/happiest days of our lives", "hey you", "run lik hell", "the trial", hell everything on here rules!
By clatta07 (williamston, usa)
The Wall is an absolutely incredible album, especially after you have seen the movie. Then you are more able to delve into the lyrics and strong emotions each song encompasses. It is beautiful.
By Lindsey (UT, USA)
||i only gave this 4 stars woo woo woo|
ya that sounds really smart you homo. There was obviously no involvement in the music part of this album. They must have just whipped it out in a couple of hours. You should get a life right now or the wall will come to your town and block the whole thing.
By fo1fer320 (willi,WA)
||5 Stars but 24Bit version of it should be released though|
The success of this album is behind the libretto, like most of Verdi's operas. This album mirrors 70's and 80's urban history and its accuracy deserves a better medium than a CD although it already sounds awsome as it is. I have the album but I will buy it again if a 24Bit of it reaches the market. Remarkable album, to comment on it in terms of the lyrics is poetical psychology, but the performance has an outstanding production behind and the ambience of the music and vocals could not be more drammatic as performed by the group. As I said, as it is with a good Hi-Fi the CD sounds astounding.

I dont know what the hell John is talking about!! This cd is amazing and roger waters is amazing!! This cd is definately worth buying!!!

Pink Floyd is a good band but this cd is utterly expensive, 30.00!

||High Above the Rest|
As the many years roll by, one remains high above all the others, intensely moving, Pink Floyd's The Wall, possibly the most brilliant score ever recorded. Turn up the volume, listen closely to every detail and be engulfed in its genius.
By robecomfy2 (CT, USA)
||The One To Own|
If their is one Pink Floyd album you should own it should be the wall. Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Richard Right are genius'. Who cares about the price, buy this album.

||Do not think twice, if you can afford it. |
This album is not a typical album, which is generally a compilation of songs(love songs, mostly). Here each song is related to the other one. You might have heard a few of the songs already. But listen to whole album to get the total ,bigger picture. The way Waters has written the whole album is out of this world. Just do not listen to this album as any other album. This deserves special attention. Pay attention to the finer details(if you have time,of course). If possible,get a print out of the lyrics with some background information of the theme. This album is in a class of its own when it comes to song writing and composition. Of course, it has the usual Pink Floyd touch. Plus a lot of great numbers, just for listening pleasure. Here you see Roger Waters and David Gilmour at theit best. Not much of Richard Wright and Nick Mason.
By dmazumdar (Providence, RI)
As a huge fan of Pink Floyd, I have heard almost every album they have produced. Without a doubt, "The Wall" is the most ambitious and satisfying of them all. It makes you wonder about Roger Waters' state of mind if this is in any way truly autobiographical. It helps to get a copy of the motion picture to get the whole story, but it is not essential. Just put on the headphones, turn down the lights, and completely lose yourself in this one. It is excellent!

||Pink Floyd - The Wall ....Of Eternity|
'The Wall' was a good, very much anticipated album when it FIRST came out in the fall, of 1979 if I remember correctly. But, now 28 years later, it's grown a bit stale. I cannot stand when all too many of those album rock stations play the same four tracks of this title over and over. Whenever I hear the lines "We don't need no education" or "Mother do you think they'll drop the bomb", I usually turn the station or put in a CD. However, I probably can stand the album more than I can the movie.
By straight_man1975 (everywhere..)
This album is simply a classic.

||A ROCK OPERA THAT DIDNT SUCK!!|
If you were lucky enough to see this concert,before the movie came out,the show started ,then as it went on the wall got built ON STAGE! between the band,and the crowd!What a concept!For a little while you could hear them playing,but you couldnt see anything. Then as the show went on,like in the MOVIE,little by little,the wall FINALLY CAME DOWN! to end the show! COOL!When the movie came out i dropped 5 hits of blotter and tripped out!!It's still good to watch sober!FLOYD RULES!GET THIS ALBUM!!!

THE WALL is one of the best rock albums ever recorded. ROGER WATERS THE WALL FROM BERLIN was nothing short of spectackular.
By HeartofStoneld1 (Brooklyn NY)
||Thw Who What!?????|
Uh, There is a reason The Who is regarded as the best rock band ever. The 2 rock albums are incomparable anyway!! The Wall is not even a real "rock opera" in the first place. Tommy and The Wall both hold their places in rock history and genius!!!
By Daltrey's Balls (all over)
The Best Pink Floyd Album one of the best of the Roger Waters era. Briliant from beginning to end.
By a reviewer (Unknown)
Personally I don't think this album is nearly as good as many make it out to be, at least compared to the rest of the stuff Pink Floyd. It is by no means bad, just not their greatest. Of the Pink Floyd I have heard, I would rank this fourth behind Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of The Moon, and Meddle, but ahead of Atom Heart Mother.
By Alex (Austin, TX, USA)
What's wrong with being a homo? Didn't you know that Gilmore is gay? Maybe he'll come to your town and stuff your Darksided Moon. Way to respect the band member's lifestyle's.
By PinkPanther (Castro, SF, CA)
I only gave this Floyd album four stars simply because the album was realy created for a way to bring the spectical back into the show and wasnt as much focused on the music. Don't get me wrong this is a great album, tons of classics, but you realy have to see the live show or the movie to grasp the full message.

||Definantly the best Artist out there!|
This is one of the best CDs out there! Definantly buy this CD... ... if you like rock you will love this CD. I listen to all kinds of music and this is one of my favorite CDs.
By a reviewer (Durham, NC)
||rock is much more than guitars|
There are two albums of PF I hear from the first to the last second: Dark Side of the Moon and this one. The Wall shows that rock'n'roll can be a lot more than simple-line accords and distorted guitars - and I love that idea!
By zdraw (Ribeirao Preto, SP, Brazil)
||GOOD FOR A DOUBLE ALBUM|
Iam not a Pink Floyd fan at all, I have no CD's or nothing but by listening to the audio samples on this site it sounds pretty good. It probably is in the top 10 albums. The #1 album in Rolling Stone is Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) by The Beatles, but im sure this is close.
By keithsilvers (Wausau, WI, USA)
||Good Album, Not Great|
I hated this record when it originally came out. I thought it was long-winded, depressing and mostly boring. Editing the whole concept down to one LP probably would have screwed up the story line, but would have made for a better record... or so I thought at the time. Hearing it now, many years later, it doesn't sound too bad at all. Either I was too harsh when I was younger (probably) and/or maybe I'm just a boring old fart now and finally in tune with it. Whatever... it's still not my fav Floyd LP, but there are some very good songs here, although still fairly depressing lyrically. Hey, most of you reading this probably love this record, it's definitely one of their most popular... but if you are like me and dismissed it long ago, give it a second listen. You may be surprised.

||the most famous wall|
this is one of those albums, that when I watch the movie or hear the album, I feel something special, with songs like: in the flesh?, empty spaces, young lust or goodbye blue sky, I don't know but those songs make a special moment when I listen it.
