20 Greatest Hits may not cover Chris LeDoux' entire career, but it does provide a definitive summary of his recordings for Liberty in the '90s. Over the course of the album, all of his big hits, plus a selection of fine album tracks and rarities, are hauled out. It may run a little long for some listeners, but it's nevertheless the ideal LeDoux record for casual fans, since it captures the best from the peak of his popularity. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Chris LeDoux 20 Greatest Hits Songs 20 Greatest Hits Music Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) very nice you can tell by looking at the picture Chris LeDoux was a cowboy. as one myself i can say he was good at riding. he is also a very good singer. The music type is different than traditional country in several songs and sounds like rocknroll but it is very very good! there are funny songs (copenhagen) fast songs (life is a highway and slow songs (western skies) everything you could want Submitted by 10wck01 (Columbia, MO, U.S.A) Was This Review Helpful? | | ABBA Gold: Greatest Hits CD (1993)
20 Greatest Hits CD music
$10.39 In seemingly random order, GOLD contains fourteen of Abba's twenty American hits (the remainder are on MORE ABBA GOLD); which is to say, it contains fourteen of the most delectable pop productions of the '70s and early '80s. "Dancing Queen," "Waterloo," "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and the other landmarks of upbeat melancholy are complex concoctions--all layered harmonies and brilliant keyboard arrangements. These songs don't easily fit into any pop timeline, which may be why Abba received much of their acclaim long after breaking up. What may have seemed like Euro-pop fluff in its day, has been revealed by time to be truly classic studio pop.
The Swedish band's songs had show-tune and '60s-pop roots, skirted around the edge of disco, ...
| | Brooks & Dunn Greatest Hits Collection CD (1997)
20 Greatest Hits music CDs
$9.59 A greatest hits collection is almost a redundancy for this chart-topping contemporary country duo, since nearly everything they touch turns to gold (if not platinum). Nevertheless, this compilation condenses the band's catalog, including three brand new tracks, into 19 sparkling gems of country-pop, bound to please both longtime fans and curious first-timers. They're all here, from the band's stellar cover of the pop hit "My Maria" to beer-swiggin' jukebox faves like "Boot Scootin' Boogie" and "Honky Tonk ...
| | Nelly Da Derrty Versions: The Reinvention CD (2003)
20 Greatest Hits songs
$12.59 While remix albums of all shades were in vogue during 2003, Nelly truly seems to be having fun on DA DERRTY VERSIONS, his addition to the genre. This release is unique in that the remixes are generally by the original producer. Also, the title is a bit of a misnomer, as it implies more stripped-down or crunked-out versions, which are not really what this record is about. However, that's not a bad thing; DA DERRTY VERSIONS is a consistently entertaining record featuring many clever twists, unforgettable guest shots, and one ultra-catchy, all-new track "Iz U."
By far, the most ear-catching moment is the peculiarly inspired reworking of the smash "Ride wit Me" which begins a cappella ...

| | Randy Travis Full Circle CD (1996)
20 Greatest Hits music CDs
$5.85 There's even a small surprise of sorts, in a cover of rocker Mark Knopfler's "Are We In Trouble Now." This is a quiet little gem, helped along by Travis' flawless phrasing and a fine melodic line. Also, a treat for the old-timers: Travis resurrects Roger Miller's "King Of The Road" for another go-round, and somehow makes it seem fresh, thanks to a sparse, "just-enough" arrangement. In the liner notes, Travis says, "Music goes in cycles--away from Country, back to Country." So goes the life of Randy Travis--full circle.
Audio Mixer: Kyle Lehning.
Recording information: Bill Schnee Studios.

Only one way to put it: the man has a voice. A country voice, deep and clear as the North Carolina streams of his childhood. On "Full Circle," Travis puts that distinctive vocal instrument through its paces, while simultaneously giving a musical tour of popular country styles. "Highway Junkie" is as good a "roll on down the line" honky-tonk tune as you're gonna get, while the bittersweet ballad "Price To Pay" will have many a trucker--and lawyer? hey, these are the '90s--crying in his beer.
