Greatest Hits on Earth album for sale by 5th Dimension was released Oct 25, 1990 on the Arista label. Until Rhino issued its anthology, this was the best hits package for the 5th Dimension, a group that in its peak was among the best at doing lighthearted pop with a soulful foundation. Certainly, they weren't a hardcore R&B or earthy singing group, but they did put some punch into songs that were really kind of silly otherwise, like "Wedding Bell Blues." ~ Ron Wynn Additional personnel includes: Dennis Budimir, Tommy Tedesco, Mike Anthony, Zavier, Al Casey, Mike Deasy, Ray Pohlman, Fred Tackett (guitar); Jimmy Webb, Jimmy Rowles (piano); Larry Knectel (keyboards); Andrew White (bass); Larry Bunker (percussion). One of the best-sounding remastered disc of 5th Dimension!
Greatest Hits on Earth buy CD music I have been collecting all the 5th Dimension albums that are available on CD format. After endless hours of A-B listening and comparisons, the tracks on this disc stand out above the rest: clear, un-distorted, more pronounced "stereo" (or soundstage) than the other remastered discs which have been badly, overly tweaked.

Been looking for this CD for years !
Greatest Hits on Earth album for sale I remember having this when it originally came out ... The song "Save the Country" (medley of 3 tunes: Declaration of Independence, Change is Gonna Come & People Gotta be Free) is POWERFUL! Only heard played on radio ONCE ... because obviously such a POWERFUL Civil Rights song.

Black Pop Group Gone But Never Forgotten
Greatest Hits on Earth CD music Anyone who thinks that the best that black pop groups could do in the way of harmonizing was limited to R&B, jazz or gospel, has long since forgotten the soaring harmonies of The Fifth (or 5th) Dimension.
