Greatest Hits Collection album for sale Product Description
Greatest Hits Collection album for sale by Brooks & Dunn was released Sep 16, 1997 on the Arista label. A greatest hits collection is almost a redundancy for this chart-topping contemporary country duo, since nearly everything they touch turns to gold (if not platinum). Greatest Hits Collection songs Nevertheless, this compilation condenses the band's catalog, including three brand new tracks, into 19 sparkling gems of country-pop, bound to please both longtime fans and curious first-timers. They're all here, from the band's stellar cover of the pop hit "My Maria" to beer-swiggin' jukebox faves like "Boot Scootin' Boogie" and "Honky Tonk Truth." What comes across most strongly on this album is the consistency of Brooks and Dunn's work, as it moves from house-rockin' uptempo numbers to sentimental ballads without losing a step. Every track features top-notch performances from great Nashville studio musicians, state-of-the-art production, and of course, the lilting harmonies of Brooks and Dunn. Greatest Hits Collection CD music contains a single disc with 19 songs. ...See Full Description

Following her smash hit THE WOMAN IN ME was no easy task for Shania Twain and husband/producer Mutt Lange. With COME ON OVER the sexy vixen of modern country has carved out a bigger niche for herself that is sure to please her growing throng of fans. George Strait 50 Number Ones CDs (2004) Top Seller
Greatest Hits Collection songs From the early 1980s onward, there's been no greater champion of traditional country-music values in the mainstream (and none more successful) than George Strait. Like a virtual Ramones of country, he's remained unshakeable in his devotion to a straightforward, no-frills aesthetic of which he's become the unquestioned standard-bearer. This populist stance has accordingly resounded with huge numbers of listeners; if you thought it was impressive when Alabama released a hits collection containing 40 Number One country hits, try Strait's 50 NUMBER ONES on for size.
In keeping with Strait's singular approach, the passage of time is difficult to notice here. From the wistful 1982 lost-love tale "Fool Hearted Memory" to the one new song, 2004's "I Hate Everything," Strait's amiable mix of honky-tonk, Western Swing, and bar-room ballads is remarkably consistent, providing the perfect framework for each sentiment just as comfortably as his warm, inviting voice serves the songs. Unlike many artists' best-of collections, there's no chronological peak beyond which the hits stop coming; 50 NUMBER ONES contains just as many latter-day smashes as early chart-toppers, a testament to the remarkable staying power and clarity of vision that make George Strait a star.
Liner Note Authors: George Strait; Michael McCall.

Tim Mcgraw Greatest Hits CD (2000) Top Seller
Greatest Hits Collection album for sale Normally, greatest hits packages include a few new tracks as bait for longtime fans who already own every CD by the artist. Tim McGraw's GREATEST HITS collection isn't one of those, but it is the perfect place to start for the casual fan who's heard and enjoyed McGraw's songs on the radio. GREATEST HITS does an admirable job of collecting McGraw's biggest successes since his 1994 breakthrough with the very politically incorrect single "Indian Outlaw."
The artist's hits usually fall into two categories--rockin' country rave-ups, and tender ballads. The best are collected here: the reach-for-the-Kleenex weeper "Don't Take the Girl," the goofy Mexicana of "Refried Dreams," the rowdy live favorites "Down on the Farm" and "I Like It, I Love It," and the sensuous, slow-burning "It's Your Love," one of two duets with McGraw's wife, Faith Hill. McGraw's later singles show a marked artistic growth, as evidenced by the sweeping, majestic "Please Remember Me," and the introspective "My Next Thirty Years." Two of McGraw's finest singles--"Everywhere" and "One of These Days"--are inexplicably missing, but GREATEST HITS is still a fine purchase for the fan who wants to beef up his or her country music collection.
Personnel: Tim McGraw (vocals, guitar).
Photographer: Russ Harrington.
Personnel includes: Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Patty Loveless, Chris Rodriguez (vocals).
Producers: James Stroud, Tim McGraw, Byron Gallimore, Faith Hill.

Trisha Yearwood Songbook: A Collection of Hits CD (1997)
Greatest Hits Collection buy CD music All tracks have been digitally remastered using HDCD technology.
"How Do I Live" was nominated for 1998 Grammy for Song Of The Year and won the Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. "In Another's Eyes" won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals and was nominated for Best Country Song.
SONGBOOK combines 10 hits from the first part of Yearwood's career (through 1995's THINKIN' ABOUT YOU) with a soundtrack cut ("How Do I Live," from "Con Air") and a new duet with Garth Brooks ("In Another's Eyes"). The album makes a case for Yearwood as one of the finest country singers of the '90s. Yearwood's painfully real portraits of lovers on the ropes are rigorously absent of the standard Nashville tricks. There are no cookie-cutter melodies, no needless swings into honky-tonk nostalgia, no superfluous steel guitars, no emotional resolutions achieved in two perfect verses--just stuff that's real.
In "Like We Never Had A Broken Heart" (another duet with Brooks, from her debut album), she tries to patch up a failing affair with a good night of sex, advising her partner, "Pretend I'm someone that you love." The heroine of "XXX's and OOO's" wakes up to this casually brutal world: "Phone rings/Baby cries/TV diet guru lies." Yearwood sings with a matter-of-fact emotion that acknowledges the struggles and the sadness (and occasional bliss) without ever overdoing it. She trusts these songs, and the degree to which she doesn't cry all over them suggests a confidence in the material that's increasingly rare in Nashville.
