The Best Outlaws Anthology
This is the best Outlaws anthology available. It contains many of the important studio recordings the group did in the 70s/early 80s, with the best songs being "Song For You" and "Green Grass And High Tides." However, even better is the self-titled debut, in either its remastered or original versions, and the '78 live album BRING IT BACK ALIVE.

The Best Outlaws Album Ever
BEST OF THE OUTLAWS: GREEN GRASS AND HIGH TIDES is the place to get acquainted with the Outlaws' special blend of harmony-heavy country-rock and jam-powered Southern rock. This anthology features sixteen tracks from five albums, thirteen from the first three. The best songs here are "There Goes Another Love Song", "Song For You", "Green Grass And High Tides", "Gunsmoke", and "Hurry Sundown", but virtually everything here is top-notch. I think what kept the Outlaws from becoming superstars was the fact that they were too eclectic for the public, blending everything from rock, blues, bluegrass, and country to folk and classical, adding layers of sweet vocal harmonies and slash-and-burn guitars. This CD is a must-own for anyone interested in rock, pop, and/or country music styles.
