Death includes: Chuck Schuldiner (vocals, guitar); Andy Larocque (guitar); Steve DiGiorgio (bass); Gene Hoglan (drums). Chuck Schuldiner puts even more emphasis on the guitar harmonies, with the help of King Diamond guitarist Andy LaRocque. Bassist Steve DiGiorgio treats his instrument more like a third guitar, making for some unique ensemble interplay. Individual Thought Patterns cemented Death's reputation as not only one of death metal's founders, but also one of its most creative, musically proficient, and listenable bands. ~ Steve Huey Individual Thought Patterns Music Individual Thought Patterns Music Individual Thought Patterns Music Review Average Rating: (4.9 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Genious in an audible format. This is probably the strongest album by Death. With an immense lineup and a matured aproach songwriting, Chuck created a fine album, producing classics such as Destiny and The Philosopher. Revealing his talent as a guitar virtuoso even more on this album he explodes into action with immense lead guitar parts. Steve DiGiorgio also revealed himself to be a world class bass player on this album, with a technique matched only by his unique style. Listen to the Bass/Guitar face-off at the end of The Philosopher and tell me this is not a masterpiece. Submitted by scott-iceman (England) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 2 of 2 found this helpful.

A masterpiece. This was by far my favorite Death album, until I gave Symbolic a closer listen. It is simply a masterpiece. Some of Steve DiGiorgio's best bass work are on display here. He gives this album such a rich sound. The depth of this album hits on so many levels. Chuck's vocals are so intense (think Max Cavalera, in early Sepultura, but raunchier). The lyrics aren't as good as Symbolic, but are still Top-Notch. I also agree with the previous reviews, Gene Hoglan's use of the double bass is genius. It doesn't have the intense machine gun force of Krisiun, but it is more technically sound. It connects well with the other instruments without being over-bearing. If you've never heard of Death, definitely pick up this album. You'll hear a sound that you've never heard before in any other band. It'll blow you away. Individual Thought Patterns
$12.89 Combining their old sound with a fresh & more progressive sound, Death are stronger than ever. Features the last work of Chuch Schuldiner. Nine tracks, including an amazing cover of Judas Priest's 'Painkiller'. Nuclear Blast.
Death includes: Chuck Schuldiner, Shannon Hamm. Contains 9 tracks. Death: Chuck Schuldiner (vocals, guitar); Shannon Hamm (guitar); Scott Clendenin (bass instrument); Richard Christy (drums). Words cannot do this album enough justice. This is a truly glorious metal release, certainly Death's finest hour, and easily one of the top metal albums of all time. The sheer ferocity and emotion that channels through each of the intricate, progressive guitar melodies shatters every low opinion of the American metal scene. When you combine Chuck Schuldiner's shrieking vocals (his eeriest ...

Individual Thought Patterns
$6.49 A brief history of The Good Luck Joes:2000 - Four kids start a band to compete in the eighth grade talent show. They learn âTwist and Shout,â and practice it for a month. They come in second place. Disheartened but not defeated, they continue to practice and play at their townâs Forth of July celebration. They name the band SCIM from the first letters of their last names: Scheltema, Citron, Idema, and Martin.2001 - The band continues to log practice hours in Joeâs basement and even begins performing some original material. They perform one of their new songs, âAll Iâm Left to Sayâ at the high school Cabaret and ears perk up. âDid they really write that song,â one might have heard. âWow, these kids are really good. I can see them going placesâŠâ This year when they peform on the Fourth itâs as The Good Luck Joes.2002 - Andrew Martin borrows a guitar from local 16-year-old guitar legend, Andrew Krei. After a short courtship, Andrew agrees to join the band. The Good Luck Joes now have a lead guitarist who will take their songs to the next level.2003 - Peterson Goodwyn joins the band as an auxillary percussionist and as a fill in drummer on certain dates. The chemistry is explosive. In the summer Peterson joins the band as the full-time drummer and they enter the âBasement Studioâ to record their first full-length album.2004 - The Good Luck Joesâ self-titled album, recorded the summer before, catches the ears a few important people, including Milwaukee musician Joe Puerta who offers to let them record in his studio. That summer, the Joes record their â48 Hours EPâ with Joe and play their first Summerfest. 48 Hours proves to be a favorite and once again ears perk up. There is talk of mainstream potential and whispers of greatness: âThese guys might just have what it takesâŠâ2005 - LA Producer Chad Fischer hears the buzz and flies out to Milwaukee to record The Good Luck Joesâ sophomore album. The guys do their first real touring, traveling to LA and New York City to play shows.
