||Must have for any Metal fan|
This is, in my opinion, the best Paradise Lost CD. Nowhere to be found are the dragging sounds of earlier CDs. This is bure heavy metal at its best. It is heavy but still with great vocals. The best tracks are Hallowed Land, The Last Time, and Once Solemn. I highly recommened this CD.

This album i bought it in 1996 and still is fresh brilliant good after 10 years. The production of this entire album is perfect. The vocals, solos, drums, bass, acoustic riffs, also backround keys are in place. The lyric of Holmes & Machinstosh are deep painful, your soul will be trapped in time. Is just perfect the sound even the vidoes were great especialy FOreveR Failure. Thisalbum is unrated with many reviewers but time speaks for it self. Just play it, and won't skipp a track. I cry to paradise lost to try to make another like this .Symbol of life made asmallsmile on me that it!!!!!

This album is definitely the best that Paradise Lost ever made. Ever since then their style has changed considerably and is no longer metal. If you're into gloomy and heavy music, get this one. Chances are you will love it.

ok....now I am a "Paradise Lost" fan. But last week, I played the CD in my friend's car CD player (he's a big fan of dark catchy tunes)....but the thing is...he laughed at what he was hearing and said that it sounds like a cheesy 80's rock band!!! And I kinda agree with him! some of the riffs were catchy but mostly dull and not up to the band's standards. Anyway...if you ask me...older records of Paradise Lost are better
