There are also some killer posse cuts like "Ballers," featuring the Big Tymers, Hot Boyz, and Three 6 Mafia; "Choppers," featuring B.G. and the Big Tymers; and "Rinky Dink/Whatever Ho," which features the Hypnotize Camp Posse. GHETTY GREEN packs plenty of punch, even for big-time Southern heavyweights.
With the signing of Project Pat, Loud Records, a label usually known for cutting-edge East Coast hip-hop like Wu Tang Clan and Mobb Deep, branched out to the South. The 20-track GHETTY GREEN is straight South ghetto-style hip-hop, laced with the smooth yet creative MC style of Project Pat. Sprinkled with guest spots from artists like Noreaga & Tear The Club Up Thugs ("Represent It"), Krayzie Bone ("Up There"), and Gangsta Boo ("Slangin' Rocks"), this collection will satisfy from start to finish.

Ghetty Green
$10.39 Hailing from Memphis, Three 6 Mafia came up in the southern underground scene, garnering a rabid following as their renown approached nationwide status. CHAPTER 2: WORLD DOMINATION is a bold, ambitious declaration; the title speaks for itself and goes a long way towards explaining what the Three 6 has in store for the unsuspecting public.
Though the emphasis is obviously on the group's mesmerizing vocal acrobatics, this is nonetheless a very musical album, filled with rich, snaky bass lines, synth pads, and creative vocal arrangements galore. Comparisons to the tongue-twisting styles of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are inevitable (though Three 6 Mafia claims to be the originator), particularly in the rapid-fire staccato phrasings of "Prophet Posse" as the Mafia trades off lines, giving each a different rhythmic feel. "I Ain't Cha ...
| | Three 6 Mafia When The Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1 CD (2000)
Ghetty Green
$9.99 Putting Memphis on the map, Three 6 Mafia's WHEN THE SMOKE CLEARS might change the perception of Southern hip-hop forever. Though hip-hop continues to gain in popularity throughout the South, the group feels that Memphis hasn't gotten its due.
With mic laced on tracks like "Jus Like Us," "Mafia N****Z," "From Da Back," WHEN THE SMOKE CLEARS is a powerful 18-song effort. DJ Paul, Juicy "J," Gansta Boo, Lord Infamous and Crunchy Black, the original ...
| | Three 6 Mafia Da End CD (1996)
Ghetty Green
$14.09 Da End furthers the horrorcore style that Three 6 Mafia had unveiled on their cult favorite Mystic Stylez debut, except here the overall tone is one of outright violence rather than eerie ominousness. Moreover, the sound quality here is much improved, as producers Juicy J and DJ Paul lay down the sort of hard-hitting, bottom-heavy beats that would define not only the remainder of their career but that of the entire Dirty South movement that would soon blossom. Much like the very similar Chapter 2 album that would follow within a year's time, the balance here between the underground essence of Mystic Stylez, typified by the horrorcore lyrics and haunting ...
| | Project Pat Mista Don't Play: Everythang's Workin' CD (2001)
Ghetty Green
$10.49 As a member of the infamous Three 6 Mafia clique, Project Pat is bound to tear up the club with anything he releases. His third solo album, MISTA DON'T PLAY, is no different. While his previous solo joints received regional praise, the success that the Three 6 Mafia has recently experienced with the hit single "Sippin' on Syrup" is bound to grant him much larger exposure.
The lead-off single "Chicken Heads" is Project Pat's new claim ...
| | Three 6 Mafia Choices: The Soundtrack CD (2001)
Ghetty Green
$10.09 This offering from the premier Memphis hip-hop crew can be seen as something of a concept album. As the title indicates, it deals with the choices one makes in life, specifically those choices made by the young urbanites that are the group's main audience. "Baby Mama," which was previously heard on ...

Ghetty Green
$7.55 LAYIN' DA SMACK DOWN includes a limited edition bonus CD of 8 tracks.
Already notorious for guesting on the Dirty South anthem "Sippin' Some Syrup" and then blowing up with his own "Chickenhead," Project Pat takes it to the next level with his fourth joint LAYIN' DA SMACK DOWN. Produced by Three 6 Mafia ...

| | Y & T Unearthed, Vol. 1 CD (2005)
Ghetty Green
$12.79 For a group that released nine studio albums between 1976 and 1990, you have to figure that Y&T must have a few tracks that slipped through the cracks over the years, right? You are indeed correct, as the 2005 compilation, Unearthed, Vol. 1 collects 17 of these rarities. As far as pop-metal bands of the '80s go, Y&T had the hooks, the choruses, the riffs, and the party-hearty persona to do battle with the chart-topping Mötley Crües and Quiet Riots of the world, but for some reason, they managed to slip through the cracks. This remains ...
