Beautiful because of it's simplicity, yet poignant because of the times. A time when our dreams were reachable;not silly. I enjoyed this 35 yrs ago and I still enjoy it today.

| relevant after almost 30 years
i remember listening to this on vinyl when it first came out....after purchasing it as a remastered cd, it brings back the same wonderful feelings it did when i first listened...this is still one of his best recordings...fresh, filled warmth and compassion...the quality of the recording is still remarkable with extraordinary vocal harmonies....the cover of james taylor's "fire and rain" is done with care and only someone of denver's abilities could or should cover taylor's classic song..he also does an excellent cover of the beatle's "let it be"..giving it luster and sweetness...the song "gospel changes" still fills me with with bittersweet feelings, particularly now that john is gone...the reverence and haunting harmonies are a testament to john's talent....all i can say is amen for this recording.
