| good album, shoulda been great
I was at the June 9th, opening show and this album, though spirited and well mixed, has almost nothing of what I experienced as an audience member. They shoulda recorded/released THAT show. have to say, I don't care for the shows' pacing or 2-3 setlist choices.

As Recorded at Madison Square Garden album for sale This concert along with Aloha From Hawaii are as far as I'm concerned are the best concerts ever recorded by anyone. As Recorded at Madison Square Garden CD music I have Framton Comes Alive, Bruce Springsteens best live concerts, The Beatles live, The Rolling Stones live and non of the other concerts even come close to these two live recordings. Even Elvis's 74 Memphis concert, His Final 77 concert still falls short of these two concerts.

| based upon my 1972 vinyl!!
Yes, I was there... not on June 10th but June 9th! opening (afternoon) show. Much better than this. There are 4-5 great vocals, yes but altogether too much orchestration and a wierdly programmed set: The last 3rd is all ballads, basically. Wanna get the real Elvis live in the '70s? go for the '75 show(s) on ELVIS ARON PRESLEY and/or the MEMPHIS '74 show. Way better... and funner.
