Scandalous album
$6.49 Quarterflash's three charted singles highlight this best-of package that compiles their sturdiest material, as well as a few of their soundtrack contributions. Both "Harden My Heart" and "Find Another Fool" broke the Top 20 upon the release of their self-titled debut album in 1981, and proved to be this Oregon band's best singles. Two other songs from the album, ...
| | When In Rome CD (1988)
Scandalous CD music
$9.25 When in Rome was another in a long line of British pop acts scoring one major hit single before seemingly disappearing without a trace. The 1988 hit "The Promise" was essentially a carbon copy of New Order's radio-friendly dance-rock. Dark yet catchy, boasting a throbbing dance rhythm, a singalong chorus, and a hypnotic melody, "The Promise" certainly deserved the success. Like many one-hit wonders of the '80s, When in Rome failed to maintain the momentum set by its only hit song by releasing a dud of an album. "The Promise," the opening track on When in Rome, starts things off nicely, but the remainder of the album is embarrassingly weak. Vocalists Clive Farrington and Andrew Mann sound just fine solo (as demonstrated on "The Promise"), but their attempts ...
| | Allman Brothers Band Dreams CDs (1989) Box Set
Scandalous music CDs
$38.09 DREAMS is a 4-CD box set compiling in chronological order tracks by the Allman Brothers Band, as well as tracks by bands featuring one or more member of the Allman Brothers Band and solo performances by Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts.
Recorded between 1966 & 1988. Includes a 32-page illustrated booklet and liner notes by John Swenson.
Like nearly all box sets, DREAMS has plenty to recommend it-and a few nagging drawbacks. The set's chief shortcoming is its two conflicting goals: providing an overview of the Allmans' history, thus attracting buyers seeking the ultimate hits package, and including enough unreleased tracks and rarities to appeal to the band's most devoted ...

Scandalous songs
$9.99 Additional personnel includes: Clinton Bradley (synthesizer); Johnny Mingus (acoustic bass); Greg Flex Marshall (loops).
After skipping from record label to record label in search of a home, Pitchshifter has settled down as part of Sanctuary records, a growing label that houses industrial veterans Ministry, as well as heavy metal icons Megadeth, among others. Along with the new label comes a brand new album, PSI, a disc that has been in the works since shortly after Deviant was released in 2000. PSI, which stands for Pitch Shifter Industries, is an engaging listen that may in fact be Pitchshifter's best release to date, and while the sampled exploration is scaled back in comparison to such albums as www.pitchshifter.com, it finds the band covering even more new ground musically. The first noticeable difference is the reliance on a heavier sound, as Pitchshifter is more aggressive then ever before, wielding a viscous guitar sound that bludgeons your ears with slab after slab of nu-metal tenacity. PSI also is by far the group's most accessible album, as songs like "My Kind" and "Super-Clean" are very easy to digest ...

| | D I Blue Skies CD (2005)
Scandalous CD music
$17.09 About DiDi is a very powerful and very special new artist who is generating a great deal of respect from all who have heard her perform. If you're ready for a different style and sound then you should find Di's 'Blue Skies' Atomic Pop album very interesting. There is no one out there today quite like 'Di', she has her very own set of signatures, unlike much of the 'Copy, Paste and Clone' homogenization that seems to have spread into the music industry by some major labels afraid of taking a chance on pioneering new frontiers with any new artists and styles. Di's 'happy-go-lucky' spirit, sincere 'true' character and her influence on teenagers is "really cool". Along with Di's unique character comes a constant flow of trend setting styles that have caused frequent traffic jams with original self expression and 'Missy' hasn't lost a beat with her introduction of striking Blue Hair-(back cover of her CD) to challenge certain Label's to keep it 'real', so keep an eye out for the 'Copy Kats'."Di?, Oh Yah!...while our vibe is classic 'Stones' and classic 'Who', we really encourage this girl, we heard that power and range." (KLOS FM, Los Angeles, CA)"Wow what a great album! I can't wait to play it on my show tonight."Rocco's Playlist/KRVM/KWVA Eugene, OR"Di's 'Lady Luck' sounded great."Shonan Beach FM (78.9MHz), Hayama Marina, Japan "What a great voice"RNL102, Dublin, IrelandAdopted at less than a month old into an eventually abusive family, Di never got to know her real parents. To escape the trauma around her she began singing and playing her guitar at the age of 5 and was also operatically trained in her early years and performing at the age of 9. Feeling some of the limitations of this style of music Di began to form her own style, using some of the difficult vocal techniques she learned along the way. The underlying emotional reactions from much of the trauma she fought as a youth comes out in some of her songs. Di is a most ...
