| | Ted Nugent Motor City Madness CD Ted Nugent Discography of CDs
Collectables Motor City Madness is a budget-priced, ten-track collection containing some of Ted Nugent's most popular songs including "Free for All," "Dog Eat Dog," and "Wango Tango." However, too many hits have been left off, like "Cat Scratch Fever," "Just What the Doctor Ordered," and "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang," for this disc to be a definitive purchase. Please note that the 2006 edition includes the exact same track listing as the 1996 Sony Special Products release of the same name. ~ Al Campbell Ted Nugent has been known as the "Motor City Madman" for years, so it makes sense that Sony Special Products decided to assemble a budget-priced compilation entitled Motor City Madness. It's debatable whether anyone unfamiliar with Nugent will hear any of this hard rock and think that this is "madness," since time has diluted its impact. Or the problem could be that the ten featured songs simply don't capture the Nuge at his best. Sure, there are some staples, such as "Wango Tango," but a number of necessary Nugent ditties -- "Cat Scratch Fever," "Stranglehold" -- are missing. Granted, you can't expect a budget-priced compilation to be definitive, but this has enough mediocre cuts to slow momentum, thereby making it of marginal interest to budget-minded casual fans. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine Ted Nugent Motor City Madness Songs Motor City Madness Review
