For many years, there were only the official Boston albums in the group's catalog. Unlike many bands, they held out recycling their work in a series of budget-line collections, granting only a two-fer release of their first two albums in 1983. Things changed once Greatest Hits was released in 1997, since its release guaranteed the eventual appearance of records like Sony Music Special Products' Rock and Roll Band, a budget-line compilation of highlights from the first two albums. Since it's a budget-line collection, it does not contain all of the hits. In fact, it has only one big hit in "More Than a Feeling," which may well satisfy the needs of most casual fans. The remainder of the disc features one minor hit from Don't Look Back ("A Man I'll Never Be"), plus four tracks apiece from the first two albums. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Some of these may be fan favorites, but to the uninitiated, they may sound a bit weedy. Some may argue that this unevenness is actually more representative of the actual Boston albums than a hits collection would be, but no matter how you look at it, Rock and Roll Band doesn't really give casual fans what they want or need. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine Boston Rock & Roll Band Songs Rock & Roll Band Music Review Purchase Rock & Roll Band CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Nightmare on Elm Street DVD (1984) Widescreen

Rock & Roll Band music CDs
$14.59 For years after its release, Heatwave was presumed to be the Univers Zero group finale, until the band re-emerged over a decade later with The Hard Quest in 1999. On Heatwave, the transition from acoustic chamber music to electric rock is complete, and the somewhat uncertain steps of Uzed, Univers Zero's previous release, have become purposeful and confident. Almost all the Uzed musicians have returned for this date, together with Andy Kirk on keyboards and original Univers Zero violist/violinist Patrick Hanappier. Perhaps the only criticism that could be levied against the first three tracks ...

Rock & Roll Band CD music
$11.99 On its seventh full-length album, AFI (A Fire Inside) reunites with renowned producer Jerry Finn for a strikingly dynamic outing that builds on its highly successful predecessor, SING THE SORROW. While the California-based goth-influenced band still excels at hard-edged punk-pop, as best revealed on the catchy anthem "Miss Murder," it also makes impressive forays into techno-tinged rock on the surging "Love Like Winter" and the brooding, Depeche Mode-like "37mm." Although DECEMBERUNDERGROUND's few "screamo" ...
