Razor & Tie's Sweet Life: His Greatest Hits Singles is the first CD compilation to draw from Paul Davis' recordings for Bang and Arista. In other words, it's the first and only definitive career retrospective, containing such '70s hits as "I Go Crazy," "Thinking of You," "Superstar," "Darlin'," and "Sweet Life," as well as the early-'80s singles "Do Right," "Cool Night," and "'65 Love Affair." It could be argued that the compilation should have been sequenced in chronological order, but the 14 songs flow smoothly in this incarnation, proving that Paul Davis was one of the finest soft rock crooners of his generation. Yes, the lesser-known singles and album tracks don't really match the quality of the aforementioned hits, but they're all well-crafted and pleasant, and anyone who is a fan of one of his soft rock classics should be pleased with this entire collection. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

 Too few years of his voice!
Paul Davis's music grabs onto a part of me that too easily dismissed this wonderful voice and his talent for writing meaningful songs. If only I had supported this man and his music earlier, maybe he'd have recorded more.

Agree totally with the other person that melted. Most of the songs are out of this world. His pictures in and on the CD case don't match that mellow, sexy voice. I love the 70's music that I heard on the radio while growing up, by the time I hit high school it changed to the crappy 80's electronic keyboard, punk or Madonna stuff. Yuck!

Paul is awesome and his vocals make me go crazy. I just got Sweet Life CD for X-mas and I haven't stopped playing it.
My favs are Cool Night, 65 Love Affair ! You must buy it for Cool Night alone! Well worth the money and where is Paul now? Wish he made more songs....as I would buy!
