Ah, memories. Remember the first time you heard Quiet Riot's "Cum On Feel The Noize"? Or what about Ratt's "Round And Round"? Sure you do. Well, they're included here along with many other Heavy Metal classics from the decadent decade known as the 80's. This is an excellent collection for the veteran rocker who doesn't want to buy each individual album, or the novice headbanger looking for a great representation of hard rock.
What makes this album special is the variety of styles: there is great "hair band pop metal" (Europe's "The Final Countdown", Warrant's "Cherry Pie", Winger's "Seventeen"), power ballads (Poison's "Every Rose Has It's Thorn", Cinderella's "Nobody's Fool"), southern rock (38 Special's "Hold On Loosely), straight-ahead classic Metal (Judas Priest's "You Got Another Thing Coming"), and glam rock (Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It", Alice Cooper's "Poison"). There are 16 tracks designed to get the joint jumpin'. All in all, this album is highly recommended to anyone who wants a dose of rock n' roll from when things were taken a little less seriously.

Monsters Of Rock CD music
$19.89 After much debate and a labored attempt at completing his contributions to a new studio offering, a disenchanted Matt Barlow chose to step down as vocalist of power-metal veterans Iced Earth. Enter Tim "Ripper" Owens, who was eagerly awaiting a formal announcement that metal god Rob Halford had rejoined his then-band, Judas Priest. Anticipating the obvious (and long-rumored inevitable), Owens weighed a number of offers before joining forces with Iced Earth. He quickly helped them finish their recording, and enthusiastically joined their ranks.
Principal writer, guitarist, and noted history buff Jon Schaffer has crafted a classic metal album that is sure to stand apart from the nu-metal din. THE GLORIOUS BURDEN focuses on conflicts and tragedies inspired by documented world events, steering away from the fantasy concepts of the band's previous works. Metal enthusiasts familiar with the contemporary leanings of Owens' style on Priest's JUGULATOR and DEMOLTION discs will hear a flair for melody and dramatic, soaring vocals, not flexed since his days in Winter's Bane (the singer's little-known original band). The September 11th-themed "When the Eagle Cries" and Civil War epic "Gettysburg," in particular, stand out as ...

| | Neon Blonde Chandeliers In The Savannah CD (2005) Import
Monsters Of Rock album
$27.95 A side project of the Blood Brothers, Neon Blonde offers up a set of fierce and eclectic indie-rock songs on this outing.
Although Neon Blonde's Headlines EP showed that Johnny Whitney and Mark Gajadhar's side project could sound like the Blood Brothers while also sounding very little like them, it still wasn't adequate preparation for the crazed inventiveness of their full-length debut, Chandeliers in the Savannah. A glittering, sharp-edged magpie's nest of fractured glam, hip-hop, electronica, pop, Blood Brothers-style fury and whatever else caught the band's fancy, the album is an example of how to build something beautifully ...
