Not a masterpiece like certain previous albums (such as "Todd" or "Something/Anything"), but definitely a very good one.

 This Album is Also a Friend!
I don't know what it is about this album, but it's been a favorite of mine for many years. All the songs on it are good in their own unique way. This album has seen me through a lot of ups and downs in life, but it was most influential to me when I went through a difficult break-up with a boyfriend years ago. It's just good old fashioned pop/rock music from a great era, when pop stars actually had musical talent, and with songs that speak to you.

 One Of Todd's Better Albums
Maybe it's because it came out the year I graduated from high school, but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for "Hermit". More likely it's because of its lack of Todd's usual self-indulgence and the fine, concise songwriting. Standouts include "Can We Still Be Friends" and the heartbreaking "Bag Lady." Incidentally, "Onomotoepia" may be silly, but I used it to teach my daughter what the word meant...I can still hear her giggle.
