$13.09 Those who are heavily into 2000s horror movies will have no problem figuring out where Fort Pastor got their name: in Zack Snyder's 2004 remake of George A. Romero's 1978 zombie film Dawn of the Dead, Fort Pastor was a military fort where people sought refuge from zombies on the rampage. When bands get their names from horror flicks, one could easily assume that they are offering some type of over-the-top death metal/grindcore along the lines of Cannibal Corpse or Carcass. But Beautiful Imperfection doesn't sound anything like that. Actually, this Florida-based outfit favors a very melodic and tuneful adult alternative approach that draws on direct or indirect influences ranging from Blues Traveler, the Dave Matthews Band, the Gin Blossoms, and the Goo Goo Dolls to U2 (although Fort Pastor doesn't rock as hard) and Peter Gabriel.
